The Game balance Changing update
- Nerfs as far as the eye can see
- Recipes for Environmental Tech got a lot more expensive
- Like, a lot more
- Environmental Tech miners now cost way more energy to run
- Environmental Tech solar panels produce slightly less energy now
- Tier 1 still produces 648RF/t
- Just getting Tier 1 solar has become a lot more expensive though
- RFTools Builder in quarry mode now uses more energy and is slightly slower
- RFTools Dimensions now use more energy
- Quantum Quarries disabled completely
- Extreme Reactors now less fuel efficient and produce less RF/t
- Extreme Reactors Turbines are more efficient to balance this out with later-game tech
- Deep Resonance crystals now produce 50% the RF/t, but also store 2x as much energy in total. If you don’t need to max out your RF/t, this is actually a buff.
- RFTools Power Cells in wireless mode significantly less efficient over distance.
- Cyberware slightly buffed
- You now have 150 tolerance instead of 100, split 100 / 50.
- That’s 25 tolerance extra for free without drawbacks
- RAM (memory) usage should be reduced significantly in this version!
- This is thanks to the inclusion of the great FoamFix mod.
- FoamFix does what it promises and makes Minecraft, particularly with big modpacks, use 15-25% less RAM on average.
- If Minecraft slowed down your whole computer for you after a while, you can try lowering the amount of allocated memory a bit after this update. If you have “only” 8GB total RAM and have constant lag, try assigning 3.5GB allocated memory or less.
- FoamFix has, a few hours ago. changed its license to GPLv3 with a special exemption for linking with Minecraft and associated libraries and can be included in Curse modpacks as 3rd party mod.
(Why yes, that *is* my name at the license section of the FoamFix website)
- Computercraft should now properly work thanks to the Unborked mod.
- This is a non-Curse mod, the author has given permission for this mod to be included in Curse modpacks.
- A few other new mods:
- CCTweaks
- Plethora
- OpenFM
- Everything’s been updated to the latest available version. A few highlights:
- EnderIO has re-added ME conduits and dense ME conduits
- Vazkii wanted to push Quark over 100 features, and has released the “101 features update”
- Tinker’s Construct has re-implemented bows and arrows
- Deep Resonance should work properly again
