Black Horizon Forbidden Nightfall - Season 2 Update

This release transforms Black Horizont into a much larger post-apocalyptic survival experience focused on long-term multiplayer progression, firearms, mutant threats, industrial systems, radiation, factions, and server-based survival.

Main Changes

- Rebuilt the modpack into a Season 2 experience under the name Black Horizon Forbidden Nightfall.
- Expanded the modpack from a technical radiation survival concept into a full post-apocalyptic multiplayer survival season.
- Added a stronger focus on modern firearms, tactical progression, mutant enemies, hordes, PvP, factions, exploration, and long-term survival.
- Designed the pack around a 4-month progression cycle, with the possibility of extending the season depending on player activity.

Quest System

- Added a full FTB Quests progression system.
- The modpack now includes 336 quests across multiple chapters.
- Quests are used to guide progression without completely restricting player freedom.
- Added progressive rewards, including direct XP level rewards.
- Added a structured mission flow for early survival, industrial progression, combat, exploration, and late-game preparation.
- Added reward tables for weapons, Create-related progression, accessories, ammunition, and Black Horizon items.
- Added a dedicated Market chapter for trading and economy-based progression.

Progression And Skills

- Added Reskillable Reimagined progression.
- Firearms are now locked behind Attack skill requirements.
- Weapons are divided into basic, intermediate, and advanced tiers.
- Basic firearms require Attack 8.
- Intermediate firearms require Attack 16.
- Advanced firearms require Attack 26.
- Rebalanced skill XP scaling for long-term progression.
- Increased XP scaling multiplier to make skill progression slower and more meaningful.
- Adjusted health progression so bonus health is earned more slowly.
- Added Attack progression gates to slow down access to high-tier weaponry.
- Kept non-combat skills more open so players are not forced into unnecessary leveling paths.

- Organized firearms into progression tiers based on power and usefulness.
- Added support for pistols, SMGs, shotguns, rifles, sniper rifles, machine guns, and heavy weapons.

- Removed easy access to powerful combat tools too early in the game.

Create And Industrial Progression

- Reworked metal and resource progression around Create.
- Traditional smelting progression has been restricted.
- Players must rely on Create-based processing for important materials.
- Added custom CraftTweaker recipes for core progression items.
- Added custom recipes for Black Horizon components, batteries, programmed cards, XP items, bronze coins, and late-game energy items.
- Removed or restricted several default recipes to force industrial progression.
- Removed the Blaze Cake recipe to prevent easy access to superheated Create processing.

Create Liquid Fuel System

- Added a custom datapack for Create Liquid Fuel integration.

- Normal liquid fuels added:
  - Crude Oil
