BigBoiW's Megapack is a modpack focused on expanding Minecraft's world, increasing options for exploration. It achieves this by focusing on mods that enhance the potential for exploration, such as Railcraft and Archimedes ships, and actual areas the user can explore, which include biome packs like Biomes O'Plenty, and and new dimensions such as the Twilight Forest, the Aether, and the Tropics from Tropicraft.
Mixed in with all of these exploration mods are ones that expand the user's potential to mine and create items efficiently, such as Buildcraft, Industrialcraft 2, a variety of storage mods, Project Red, and all of the thermal expansion mods.
