Have you ever tried a modpack but there was just too much content all at once?
But on the other hand, have you ever wondered what makes vanilla minecraft so easy to return to, and so easy to learn the content added in the new versions?
That's due to of linear content addition! The idea that content is being added slowly to the game at your own pace, and not "unlocked" at a trigger or predetermined rate which many modpacks do.
Big Vibes is a linear content addition vanilla+ modpack meant for a multiplayer and long term gameplay that adds onto what many feel the base game lacks, yet still keeping it all feeling vanilla with principles and cores. Think of it like a Minecraft 2 (The Sequel) Modpack.
Features includes:
- Completely rehauled world generation (again!)
- world interactions with time (longer day and nights, seasons and natural progression such as icicles forming or snow piling)
- complete essential mod integration!
in 1.2.0: much more interactive villagers (you can have conversations with them!)
in 1.3.0: optimization! only need 6gb ram to play at 100+ fps.
in 1.4.0: battle rehaul! magic, weapons, armours, artifacts, and even pets?! you name it!
There are absolutely no restrictions as to what you can do, and all the mods included only let you do more of what you already can in the base game, never limiting to less!
Newer versions will unlock sectors of the modpack, and mimicks the minecraft updating system with a rehaul of a part of the game every update. (every modpack updates rehauls/adds a whole new sector to the game!)
Meaning if you want:
- to feel a linear increase of content being added to your game,
- or have content added at your own preferred and custom pace,
= you can choose to play through the updates marked (R) (Release) one by one at your own pace
= or just play the latest version for all the content immediately.
Example: Update 1.1.0 of this modpack aims to make the game feel like a sequel to Minecraft (thus accordingly named Minecraft 2)
Update 1.2.0 aims to completely rehaul how villages work. (thus named It Takes a Village Update)
= so you can choose when you want to be exposed to or start learning the whole new rehauled village meta and mechanics of Big Vibes' 1.2.0 villages anytime you want.
