Shadows flicker oddly in this new land. The creatures are strange and it's civilized inhabitants a mere shell of what they once were. These ancient tomes and artifacts hold the secrets of what happened here, shouldn't they?
Welcome to the Land Beyond the Mist, a continent newly discovered by the magical councils of the Eastlands. Until now, the Land Beyond was unreachable, passage by ship being blocked by a magical mist instilling madness into those who attempted to pass through it. Now, with new long-range teleportation circle magic, the councils are able to send wizards to the Land Beyond to study it and prepare it for possible colonization. You are one such wizard, sent on a one-way trip (for now) to this new land. Something interfered with your journey, however, dropping you in an unknown region of the continent. Left to fend for yourself, you must brave these dangerous new lands and unravel the mysteries of the ancient and powerful magicks of the lost civilizations from millennia past.
Featuring an extensive quest system with impactful decisions, wizards will select one of four ancient traditions to study in an attempt to carve out a name for themselves in the history books, or die trying.
BMM is first and foremost a magical deep-dive mod. With multiple traditions to choose from and interwoven progression, players will be able to enjoy progressing through a variety of magic mods to complete your tradition's quest tree. Don't worry about what tradition might be "best" to finish the story or become the most powerful, the mods within have been balanced to allow the same progression speed no matter which tree you pick. You are also not locked out of magic mods that you didn't select, they just won't be relevant to your quests.
