Introduction

    From old-school  dwellers to a chilling psychological horror, this modpack has it all. Fear lurks in every shadow, challenging you to confront your deepest anxieties. If you dare, try it out... there’s a reason it’s called "Beyond“, inspired by my own unsettling experiences.

Main information

    This modpack is designed to bring back that unsettling feeling you experienced in Minecraft’s early Alpha and Beta versions from 2011. I’ve been diligent in selecting and adjusting the mods to evoke an atmosphere of eerie suspense. While it might initially seem like just another "From The Fog“ modpack, I’ve put considerable thought into creating something unique and chilling. So, don’t judge a book by it’s cover. I promise, you won’t regret diving into this experience.

• Version Status: This modpack is not a final version.
• Customization: You are free to change, add, or remove any mod, resource pack, or shader within this modpack.
• Feedback: I welcome your ratings, suggestions, and ideas. Any input that could help improve this modpack is greatly appreciated.
• Gameplay Experience: I’ve aimed to make this modpack as playable and enjoyable as possible.
• Multiplayer Compatibility: This version of "Beyond the Haze" uses e4mc for multiplayer purposes.

Features

• While I don't want to spoil everything this modpack has to offer, I can tell you it includes dwellers and much more...
• One of my guiding principles in creating this modpack was to maintain a vanilla feel, though a few carefully  selected mods enhance the experience.
• Sound Modifications: Mods that make sounds in Minecraft more realistic and eerie.
• Performance Enhancements: Performance mods to ensure your experience is as comfortable as possible.
• Resource Packs and Shaders: 12 resource packs and 3 shaders.
• Backports for Versions 1.20 and 1.21: This modpack includes backports, though not every feature is present only those that work fine with other mods.

Errors or Crashes !!!

• Mods: Midnight Lurker and The One Who Watches: These mods can cause slowdown in ticks per second, resulting in lag for mobs and other entities, although your FPS will remain unaffected:
• Temporary Solution: I have installed older versions of these mods to ensure they function properly. I hope the developers will provide a resolution soon.

Recommendations

• Resource Packs: If you decide to keep all the resource packs, I recommend using them in the following order: 

• Game Mode: Avoid playing on Hardcore mode; you may find yourself regretting it due to the numerous ways to die.
• Performance Settings: If you experience low FPS, consider adjusting the following settings:

Set your screen resolution according to your preferences.

• Mod: Playmate: This mod features an ability to set your bed on fire, so I recommend turning this feature off for your own safety. You can find more information about the mod on their official site                      (Playmate).

Changes Within the Mods

• Man from the Fog: I modifyed this mod so that the Man from the Fog cannot destroy blocks.
• Serene Seasons Mod: Contrary to what the mod states, it will not affect your crops.

• This modpack includes jump scares, flashy lights, and loud noises.
• Stay safe!

Plans for the Future

• Version 1.20.1 of Beyond The Haze: While I’m not planning to release it in the near future, it is on the horizon.
• Essential Version of Beyond The Haze: An essential version is in the works.
• Beyond The Haze × Nightmare Edition: I don’t think I need to explain what the word "nightmare" means in this context. Stay tuned!
• Beyond The Haze × Halloween and Christmas Editions: I’m still undecided on whether to release these as separate editions or as updates to Beyond The Fog. Please share your thoughts in the                        comments!
• If I decide to make it an update, it will only be available during October (Halloween) and December(Christmas).
