📋 Beyond the Crawling v1.0.2 - Hotfix & Performance Update Hey everyone! Beyond the Crawling just received a massive, surgical maintenance patch. Say goodbye to black screens, silent crashes, and random bugs sending your game straight to the shadow realm.
In this update, we cleaned house, optimized the engine, and paved the way for true survival horror.
🛠️ Behind the Scenes (Bug Fixes & Stability) No More Silent Crashes: Removed the heavy rendering conflict caused by the unstable playerAnimator (rc1) and Iron's Spells, ensuring the modpack boots up smoothly on the first try.
Junk File Purge: Completely banished CodeChickenLib and Draconic Evolution from the instance to stop invisible bottlenecks during texture and shader loading.
Forced JEI Compatibility: Updated Just Enough Items (JEI) to the version required by Create and Sophisticated Core, bulletproofing the game against inventory load failures.
Graphics Conflict Fixes: Stripped out redundant UI libraries that used to freeze Java right during ModLauncher startup.
🕷️ ArPhEx Balance (The Horror Reined In) The spider and underground abomination mod (ArPhEx) went through a massive rework so it stops stealing mob spawns and frying your hardware:
No More Jump-Scare Bosses: The Tormentor and other ArPhEx bosses can no longer spawn naturally out in the open world. They will only appear if you're brave enough to summon them or find them in their designated structures.
Controlled Infestation: The global spawn rate was rebalanced (mathematically adjusted from 5.0 to 10.0) so caves actually have regular mob variety (like Born in Chaos mobs) instead of turning into an unmanageable spider pit.
FPS Optimization (Lag Be Gone): Heavy particle fog and exaggerated screen shaders from the final boss have been dialed back. Your boss fights will now run much smoother, even on modest GPUs.
🚀 What's Next? With the modpack 100% stable, optimized, and running crash-free, it's time to dive back into modern dimension exploration and tech progression with Mekanism, Cataclysm, and Botania.
