In this blighted realm, where once the sun did grace the earth with gentle light, there now lies only a suffocating void. The very heavens have turned traitor, for from the starless sky descend foul and unknowable beings—alien in form, merciless in purpose—whose sole desire is thy end.

Night hath claimed dominion everlasting. By the cruel hand of True Darkness, no flame nor lantern may grant thee comfort, for the shadows themselves do breathe and whisper. Each step thou takest is a wager with death, for unseen eyes dost follow thee, patient and unrelenting.

Yet look not only to the skies in fear… for the forests, too, bear wicked life. There wanders the Wendigo, a cursed spirit of hunger and bone, whose presence is felt ere it is seen. Its breath chills the marrow, its cry rends the soul, and once it hath marked thee—thy fate is sealed.

Nor is terror bound by nature alone. Through cursed relics and forbidden curiosities, horrors beyond mortal comprehension may be unleashed, twisting fate itself into cruel and capricious designs. Chaos reigns where certainty once stood.

And still, amidst this ruin, thou art granted but a fragile gift: the arcane. Ancient magicks, long buried and best left undisturbed, now lie within thy grasp. Wilt thou wield such power to defy the encroaching dread… or shall it consume thee as it hath so many before?

Know this, weary soul—death is no mere setback, but the final curtain. Thou art given but one life, one fleeting chance to endure in a world that hungers for thy demise.
