BetterThan7Days

It's like playing 7 Days To Die, but better!

I made this as close as I could to an experience like 7 Days to Die, but with extra fun stuff that i liked!

--------

You have 7 days to prepare before a "Bloodmoon" rises on the following nightwhich causes increased mob spawns. Coupled with that is the "Hostile Worlds - Invasions" mod, creating a concentrated mob attack on you, and your base...

...and they comin' for y'all.

I call these events "Horde Nights". After each horde night you have another 7 days before the next.

Also, during said bloodmons you can't sleep...

...and  t h e y  c o m i n  f o r  y ' a l l .

As for the normal nights, I'd reccomend prioritising having a safe place to sleep, because even if it's not a bloodmoon, being out and about at night can (and probably will) still be a very hard time.

You can sleep on the go (without setting your spawn) by using a sleeping bag. There are also "Nomadic Tents" which you can use to camp out in, without having to sleep.

You can explore and scavenge cities just like in 7Days using the "Lost Cities" world generation, giving you many world variations to choose from.

Zombies don't burn once it's day time. Also, they can sense you from far away, and making too much noise alerts even more!

Sometimes they'll loose track of you if you're sneaking.

They can break through materials that a player can easily punch through, and some can mine tougher stuff (also some maybe slightly can blow stuff up).

(that's all thanks to "Zombie Awareness" & "Epic Siege Mod")

You can create turrets, and several tiers of tough fences, walls, and blocks to fortify your base, thanks to "Open Modular Turrets & Passive Defence".

You can also set traps using "Trapcraft" & "Trap Expansion".

Using "Spartan Weaponry, and Shields" you can craft all sorts of useful weapons and shields. (i highly reccomend getting a nice lil wood shield when you can, cus skellys are l e t h a l)

Also, you can craft a toolbelt to wear, and store your tools in to swap them out whenever you need!

Before all that though, you've obiously gotta get started harvesting basic materials, but unless you're really lucky and you find an axe somewhere in a town, you've got to find branches and stones on the ground, in order to make a crude axe.

Along with your usual hunger, you'll need to stay hydrated, by dirnking plenty of water.

Speaking of food, it doesn't fill you up as much as normal. You can live off of lots of small snacks, but if you want a subtantial meal, you gotta use "Pam's Harvestcraft" to cook up some tasty-bois.

You can also be affected by temperature, depending on the weather, biome, season, and clothes that you're in!

You'll find new kinds of NPC villages from "Millénaire", where you can trade items. These villagers defend themselves from zombies as best they can.

As for Vanilla Minecraft villages, they now contain "Bounty Boards" which give you little jobs you can do for rewards!

You can also start your own 'settlement of survivors' with "Tektopia". Your survivors can all have different jobs to help develop your settlement and thrive! (unless everything you own gets raided and/or obliterated)

Raising livestock isn't the same either, thanks to "Animania". Vanilla mobs are replaced with improved versions of themselves, that need more care than the old ones.

If you have places you want to be able to quickly get to, you can craft teleporters!

Every 5 xp levels you gain, can be turned into 1 level-up point, using the level-up menu. These points are used to increase many different useful skills. You start off by pressing your skills button (check your controls), then choosing a class that sounds best to you. This will give you a few points in the relavent skills.

Craft guns to help you take out all the zombies in your way, and put together vehicles to help you travel (some vehicles also have mounted guns, so that's a 2 in 1).

(MrCrayfish' Gun and Car mods, and UNU Civilian and Military Vehicle mods)

Other weapons, tools and armor can be found in loot bags, which you might find in city and dungeon chests, but mobs can also drop loot crates. ;)

(also, I really reccomend using the "Tissou's Zombie Pack" & the "Coterie x16" resource packs, that can be found on the twitch launcher. Make sure to place Tissou's above Coterie if you have both on, to get the right zombie skins)
