Welcome to a new world, where traditional caves do not exist, and the traditional ore generation is gone as well. You will need to learn to "read the land" to help determine what resources lay beneath the surface. To find Iron, for example, you will need to find a hilly or mountainous area with stone base rock. Diamonds? Well look for a diorite base rock and smooth land, far from erosion. More details on the various conditions that ore spawns in can be found on the Dooglamoo Worlds mod page.
