Better Mania

Better Mania is a relatively large modpack and contains many vanilla+ mods that make the base game more interesting in many aspects such as structures and mobs, as well as adding cool engineering mods such as Create and Immersive Engineering with many associated addons.

A magic mod gives the appropriate flavour with which you can create and use many cool spells of your own.

Farming also plays a bigger role here than in the main game, as you now have to eat a much more balanced diet with the Spice of Life mod, but on the other hand you also have many food options at your disposal. You can create a wide variety of dishes from countless fruits and vegetables as well as other ingredients. This means that a large part of the game is also about obtaining different fresh or home-made food, otherwise you will starve to death. One mechanic that makes this a little more difficult are the seasons introduced by Serene Seasons, because just like in real life, not everything grows all the time. You have to make sure that you have enough reserves for the winter or go to a warmer area.

There are also many new ones to discover. There are two large biome mods that add countless new biomes, plant and wood species. There are also many new animals, some of which are a little aggressive and dangerous. The many different types of wood can also be used to make a wide variety of furniture. But there is also plenty for the stonemasons to do.

In addition to flying magical animals and one or two magical dimensions that have been added, you will also find many new weapons, both historical and modern, and a large number of bosses and interesting dungeons to loot.

For players with poorer PCs, we recommend adjusting the video settings and adding as much ram as possible. The performance mods should provide the best possible remedy.
