The multiplayer version allows you to play locally in your world using the Essential mod. The single-player version also allows multiplayer, but requires creating a dedicated server or using a VPN.

Note: For dedicated servers, client-side mods must be removed.

Note 2: The modpack includes shaders, but unfortunately there are no mods that officially support shaders in CurseForge for version 1.12.2, so you will need to install Optifine manually.
