Optimised so you should be able to play on your budget laptop without issue (especially if you pre-generate chunks).
Social play encouraged and planned for.
Vanilla feel has been largely maintained, giving a good introduction to modded minecraft that's not too threatening for beginners.
If you can survive long enough end-game play has also been increased with much more potential for high-power gear, after significant playtime, such as with the apotheosis and upgraded netherite mod, giving a payoff for the difficulty.

IMPORTANT: if run on a server the mod total-darkness must be removed to avoid crashes
