This modpack seeks to effectively turn Minecraft from a sandbox into wave based survival roguelike by adding a multitude of features:
Instead of hostile mobs spawning randomly each night, a horde (using the hordes mod by smileycorp) attacks you separated into multiple waves.
You have each day (and the first night (or two depending on where you are)) to gather resources and equipment to survive against the exponentially scaling difficulty of the hordes.
You must collect the horde's mob drops and turn them into eyes of ender, travel to the stronghold and beat a significantly more powerful ender dragon to beat the game before the hordes become too difficult to handle.
Hordes adapt to where you are, going as far as to fly if you are in the sky and dig if you are underground, or being more powerful in exchange for dropping valuables.
Most mobs have changed mechanics or increased intelligence in some way, hoping to add nuance and increased stradegy to the hordes.
Players have the ability to customize their builds at the start of the game with the help of multiple custom made origin layers, all with upsides and downsides in the hopes of making the absense of any modifiers just as powerful.
This modpack isn't very fun to play alone: It gets boring and lonely very quickly. I reccomend using the "essential mod" already included in the modpack to play with your friends, or make a server or something.
This modpack is a culmination of a sort of passion project I have been working on entirely by myself and with the help of some online friends of mine to test and balance the pack, so there are still likely bugs and whatnot riddled throughout. I will try to keep my eye on comments and be active in terms of feedback. I hope you enjoy this twist on minecraft!
