What's new for players
- Cobblemon: Armory: Pokémon armor and weapons, made at the smithing table.
- Furniture: CobbleFurnies, Another Furniture and Macaw's Furniture.
- Building and kitchens: FramedBlocks (blocks in about 200 shapes with any block's look) and Cooking for Blockheads.
- Sit!: sit on stairs and slabs.
- Smoother game: ImmediatelyFast, More Culling, Enhanced Block Entities, ScalableLux, BadOptimizations and Dynamic FPS; connected glass with Continuity.
- Server features (Bakumon Core): Pokémon styles in
/cosmetics, cosmetics search, TCG master set progress and rewards, Arena queue bar, smoother cosmetic animations, battles hide the minimap and sidebar. - Optional (off by default): Distant Horizons and WorldEdit CUI.
- Removed: JEI (EMI is the recipe viewer), Elytra Slot, CobbleThemes, BHMenu, FancyMenu, Cherished Worlds, Tips and the Solas shader.
Platform

- Manifest entries: 151 -> 161; bundled override jars: 9 -> 7; Fabric mods total: 147 -> 156 (2 of them optional, shipped disabled)
- Override files: 264 -> 250
Technical Notes
- Removals
- Just Enough Items: EMI is the pack's recipe viewer; both were installed.
- Elytra Slot: client-side only; the server never had its slot, so it did nothing in this pack.
- CobbleThemes: battle music taken from the Pokémon games; removed for copyright reasons (players stream the server). It was also the largest bundled jar (271 MB).
- BHMenu (BisectHosting Server Integration Menu): an ad banner with no partner id; no use for a single-server pack.
- FancyMenu, plus its libraries Konkrete and Melody: no menu layouts were made with it; Bakumon Core draws the title screen.
- Cherished Worlds: singleplayer world list only; this pack is for one multiplayer server.
- Tips: generic loading-screen tips.
- Additions
- All new mods come from the CurseForge manifest; no new bundled jars.
- OtterLib is Sit!'s library.
- Distant Horizons and WorldEdit CUI ship as
.jar.disabled, so players turn them on themselves.
- Bundled jars
- 7 now: our own
bakumon-core, plus projects whose files can't be installed through the CurseForge manifest. - CobbleThemes is gone. SwingThrough 1.0.6 now comes from the manifest instead of a bundled jar.
- Syncmatica's CurseForge project still answers 403, so its LGPL-3.0 jar stays bundled.
- Every third-party bundled project is credited in CREDITS.md, with author, link and license.
- 7 now: our own
- Recipes: the new content mods (Armory, the furniture mods, FramedBlocks, Cooking for Blockheads) get their items through the server's shops. Their crafting recipes are managed server-side with CraftTweaker scripts; nothing on the client.
- Configs
- New files are the defaults for the added mods.
- The FancyMenu, Konkrete, BHMenu and Tips configs are removed with their mods.
- Two per-server Litematica files that 1.4.0 shipped by mistake are removed. They were named after a developer's test server.
- The build rejects usernames, local paths, keys and private server addresses, in file names and contents. No personal or machine-specific files ship.
servers.datlists only "Bakumon Official" (play.bakumon.net).
- Resource packs
- The server's packs (badges, TCG card art, Pokémon styles, mounts, plushie icons) are not in the zip. Bakumon Core downloads them on demand and checks each by SHA-1.
resourcepacks/.bakumon-packs-list.jsonholds only their names, hashes and public URLs.- Stay Clear is replaced by Clear Glass Pack 1.21. Stay Clear only had connected-texture files, which need Continuity.
- Shaders: Solas removed. BSL (preselected, shaders off by default), Complementary Reimagined/Unbound with Euphoria Patches, Bliss, Mellow and MakeUp Ultra Fast are unchanged.
Bakumon Core 1.2.172 (in-house, bundled as bakumon-core-1.2.172.jar)
Bakumon Core is the client and server half of our own server software. It does nothing on other servers.
Identity
- Mod id
bakumon-core, environment*(one jar for client and server). Same dependencies, entrypoints and license as 1.2.142. - License "All Rights Reserved". The source is in a private repository and can be shared with the review team on request.
- The jar is a normal Loom/remapped build: no obfuscation, no bundled native code, no reflection-loaded remote code.
Networking (Minecraft custom payloads only, namespace bakumon-core)
- Unchanged from 1.2.142, plus one channel:
hud_hidden. It's server-to-client only: "hide the side HUD", used while a battle is on screen. - The
ui_actionpayload can now also carry afromfield (a dragged slot id) for drag-and-drop in server-driven screens. - The modpack check (
modcheck_report/modcheck_result) is unchanged. It's still the only client data Core sends, and only to the server the player connects to.
Outbound HTTP from the client
- Resource pack downloads (unchanged) from the URLs the connected server lists. Our packs are on
github.com/canikou/Bakumon-Assetsreleases. Each is checked against the server's SHA-1. - Microsoft sign-in proof (new in this version):
- When our login lobby asks whether the player is signed in with a Microsoft account, Core calls Minecraft's own
https://api.minecraftservices.com/minecraft/profilewith the player's existing session token. That's the endpoint and token the vanilla client already uses. - Only a yes / no answer goes back to our server. The token itself is never sent to our server or stored; only a hash is kept in memory, to avoid repeating the call.
- This stops offline launchers that label accounts as Microsoft from being sent into a check that fails.
- When our login lobby asks whether the player is signed in with a Microsoft account, Core calls Minecraft's own
- No telemetry, no analytics, no update checks. The title-screen links open only when clicked.
Files Core writes on the client
Unchanged: config/bakumon-core-client.json, the downloaded packs and their install records in resourcepacks/, and the
encrypted cosmetics cache. Nothing outside the instance folder.
Mixins (bakumon-core.mixins.json)
Each mixin changes only rendering or UI, or guards against a crash.
- Common: 4 (unchanged).
- Server: 5 (unchanged; inactive on a client).
- Client: 36 -> 45.
- Added:
FramedContinuityUnwrapMixin: FramedBlocks gets models without Continuity's wrappers. Fixes a crash and an EMI reload that never finished.EmiBeaconGuardMixin: EMI no longer takes clicks on the beacon screen, so beacon effects can be chosen.PreviewFeaturesMixin: the cosmetics preview draws only the player's skin and the tried-on cosmetic.ArmorSkinHideMixin,HeldItemSkinMixin: cosmetic skins for armor and held items.BackpackTrinketHideMixin: the backpack hider also covers a backpack in the Trinkets back slot.BossBarBattleHideMixin: the server's battle pass boss bar is hidden during battles; other boss bars stay.BattleCamOwnBodyMixin,BattleCamSpectatePerspectiveMixin: BattleCam (BetterCobblemonSpectation) shows your own body by default and uses third person while spectating with its camera.FtbAmecsKeyFixMixin: FTB screens no longer crash on a key press with Amecs.
- Removed:
ElytraSlotHideMixin(Elytra Slot removed).
- Added:
Main changes 1.2.142 -> 1.2.172
/cosmetics: Pokémon tab with Pokémon styles, search, equip-on-species, preview zoom and drag.- Cosmetic animations run on a client-side tick clock (smooth wings).
- EMI: search bar in the sidebar, "Bakumon Shop" category first.
- During battles: minimap, scoreboard sidebar, side HUD and the battle pass bar are hidden.
- Drag-and-drop in server-driven screens.
- Master-set emblems; the badge pack is built with fixed timestamps, so it isn't re-downloaded on every join.
