This is a modpack that has been in the making for a little over a year now. I created it as a way to bridge the gap between Vanilla+ and Fantasy-Style Minecraft Modpacks.
Why did I Create this?
As a casual player myself, I tended to die a lot in Vanilla Minecraft, but I wanted to try modpacks to spice the game up anyway. The issue I ran into is that all of the cool fantasy modpacks were way too hard for a casual player like me- but Vanilla+ modpacks often felt not interesting enough or were overcomplications of plain vanilla that seemed stressful. So, I set off on my first modpack-making-journey to have an option somewhere in between!
To Gauge Difficulty:
Right off the bat, I will say that this modpack IS harder than Vanilla, but it aims to not be too far beyond it in difficulty.
The hardest mod in the pack adds dragons, HOWEVER they are rare to see, and easy to avoid a lot of the time. I find that it gives a nice option for a big challenge if I choose to interact with any of the dragons. The most interfering of them all is a water dragon that can make oceans a lot more dangerous to traverse, but besides that I find the dragons add a nice touch of fantasy and challenge that isn't too much.
Furthermore, there is a temperature system- but it is set so that it is not capable of truly killing you- it just brings you down to a specific number of hearts. Makes it a little more interesting traveling from biome to biome.
In one of the game menus, you will notice a leveling system that grants you buffs in exchange for levels. These leveling categories also give you the capability to equip various curios scattered in loot chests across the world. These curios will grant special abilities that help manage some of the harder new additions to the game.
Everything else is Vanilla+ stuff / Flavor for the most part. There are RPG quest villagers, frog-like villagers, goblins, and more to meet and trade with! As well as tons of new and unique biomes and structures to explore!
THIS IS STILL A BETA:
Changes are still being made, and some of the mods that are in it now may be removed in the future as needed. There are some known bugs- I have actively been working to fix them.
Having that said- I will almost never remove a mod that will break/corrupt your worlds. If I do- there will be a VERY good reason as it is a last resort, and I will leave a warning in the changelog to not update the version unless you want to risk your world. Truly, I avoid this outcome at all costs, but I'll leave a warning here just in case.
PLEASE SUPPORT THE MOD CREATORS!!!
Though I have put a lot of time into this- the true heroes are the shader, resource pack, and mod creators! They are the ones who have made all of this possible- so PLEASE direct any support to this project over to them instead! I deeply respect all of the time and effort that goes into their mods- and you should too.
