Astrecraft is a Vanilla+ modpack originally created to play with a small group of friends, with the goal of expanding Minecraft's gameplay while preserving the spirit and identity of the original game.
The modpack introduces new exploration opportunities, creatures, equipment, transportation methods, natural phenomena, and even space exploration, while keeping Minecraft's core mechanics and overall feeling intact.
The goal is to create a world that constantly makes you want to venture further: discovering a mysterious structure, witnessing a strange phenomenon in the sky, encountering an unfamiliar creature, exploring a dangerous region, or simply setting out with your friends without knowing what you might find along the way.
Inspired in particular by Outer Wilds, Astrecraft focuses on curiosity, discovery, exploration, and emergent adventures rather than traditional RPG progression or a race for increasingly powerful gear.
The modpack was primarily developed as a personal project for our group of friends, but it is being shared so that other players can experience and enjoy the world we've created.
