Ascending Fishers Modpack 0.4.9
Auto Angler Logistics & QoL Update
This update improves Auto Angler automation compatibility while cleaning up several block-placement issues discovered during normal progression.
Ascending Fishers Core 0.4.4
Updated Ascending Fishers Core to 0.4.4.
The Auto Angler received a major logistics improvement.
Auto Anglers can now:
- Push catches directly into adjacent chests, barrels, drawers, and other inventories
- Output from any of their six sides
- Work more reliably with standard NeoForge item-transfer systems
- Expose their catch inventory to both directional and unsided automation systems
Improved compatibility includes systems such as:
- Pipez
- AE2 Import Buses
- Refined Storage Importers
- Mekanism Logistical Transporters
- Integrated Tunnels
- LaserIO
- Vanilla Hoppers
- Create logistics
- Functional Storage
- Sophisticated Storage
- Other compatible inventory and pipe systems
The Auto Angler's rod and water slots remain protected from normal automation.
Auto Angler Side Configuration
The Auto Angler's Side Config now has its own dedicated screen instead of sharing space with the main fishing interface.
Each side can independently be set to:
OUT or OFF
Controls are available for:
- Top
- Bottom
- North
- South
- East
- West
- All OUT
- All OFF
New Auto Anglers default to all six sides enabled for output.
Direct Storage Output
Pipes are no longer required for simple Auto Angler setups.
A barrel, chest, drawer, or other compatible inventory can now be placed directly beside an Auto Angler and receive catches automatically.
This makes early automation much easier while still allowing larger pipe and storage networks later.
AE2 Placement Fix
AE2's default Place Parts on Opposite Side keybind caused issues when using Left Ctrl to crouch.
This could make cables and AE2 parts appear on the opposite side of a block instead of where the player was actually aiming.
The default keybind is now unbound for new Ascending Fishers installations.
Players can still manually bind the feature again if they want to use it.
Default Options
Added Default Options to manage pack-default controls without forcing those settings back onto players after they change them.
This is used to ship the corrected AE2 placement keybind while still allowing players to customize their controls normally.
Bridging Placement Disabled
The Bridging Mod's Reacharound / Bridging Assist functionality is now disabled by default.
While useful for normal building, the feature could interfere with precise placement around:
- AE2 cables
- Machines
- Pipes
- Storage blocks
- Other automation components
Normal Minecraft block placement is now used instead.
Automation Polish
These changes make it much easier to build setups such as:
Auto Angler → Barrel
Auto Angler → Pipez → Storage
Auto Angler → AE2 Import Bus → ME Network
Auto Angler → Integrated Tunnels → Storage
Auto Angler → Mekanism Transporter → Storage
without requiring special handling from the Auto Angler.
