Arumba is a modpack created by his server owner. Arumba is a youtuber that likes a lot of strategy. His fans also like the idea of using strategy and min-maxing. The idea of this modpack is to allow that kind of playstyle but also have freedom to chose the tech or magic route.
Arumba didn't play minecraft himself but his fans do like to play it. That is why this modpack is made. Everyone had a different idea of what mods should be added. In the end it created this and almost everyone was happy with it.
The reason we went with 1.10.2 is because it had certain mods requested by the community. Such as blood magic and tinkers construct. To allow some of the creative side of the players chisel & bits was added too.
