Arthean expansion is a modpack that aims to add to the already great base game with many essentials as well as some lesser-known mods. Sometimes I feel like some modpacks are a bunch of mods smashed together in a few hours. I've extensively playtested this, and this modpack utilizes CraftTweaker scripting to fix things like duplicates of ores.
For server owners: This modpack includes some clientside mods, but none should significantly affect server performance. Feel free to advertise servers with this modpack in the comments!
Once you load up a world, you'll immediately notice the improved terrain generation. You'll find hundreds of new biomes, better oceans full of new and unique fishes, and expansive caves filled with new resources. This modpack also includes ambient surroundings, so you'll be hearing birds chirping in the forest, seagulls on the beach, reverb in the caves, and much more. Our focus on performance even allows for a good experience with shaders on higher-end hardware, and the Quark mod improves almost all areas of the game and adds numerous quality-of-life changes that you'll be sure to enjoy.
Technical players will enjoy using the Create Mod's numerous machines and tools that help you design more contraptions and farms. Applied Energistics 2 also adds many machines and tools, but goes in a different direction, adding things like electricity and revolvers. Additionally, FTB chunk's force chunkloading feature will be a lifesaver for technical players.
Ice and Fire, better mineshafts, and better strongholds encourage exploration and turn the overworld into a exciting land of adventure and challenges. The ice and fire mod brings (tameable) dragons, sea serpents, sirens, and other mythical creatures into the mix, adding to the already diverse and adventure-filled world.
Theres also a ton of new exciting lands to discover, like the twilight forest, a dimension filled with dungeons and loot. The outer end is now a locale full of plant life, diverse biomes, and powerful new materials. Lastly, the Beyond Earth mod allows you to reach the moon, mars, and beyond by creating a rocket.
