Archon's Ascent

Archon's Ascent is a large, exploration/city building RPG modpack which takes heavy inspiration from RLCraft. This modpack seeks to add content and experiences to many aspects of Minecraft, with new biomes, structures, skills, quests, and town-building.

  • Turned Advanced Tooltips on by default. 
  • Added RLArtifacts mod
    • Adds a variety of new baubles & mimics into dungeons. 
  • Added Ancient Beasts mod
    • Adds a bunch of new monsters into the world.
    • Added to replace the mobs added via AoA. 
  • Removed Advent of Ascension
    • The mod is just too big -- too much to balance and deal with. I may consider re-adding it but at this point I don’t see it fitting in with the direction I’m taking the modpack.
  • Removed Apotheosis
    • The 1.12.2 version is severely lacking in features and does not serve much of a function in the modpack, so it is getting removed. 
  • Updated CarryOn to 1.12.7.23
  • Updated CraftTweaker to 4.1.20.689
  • Updated Dynamic Trees to 1.5.2
    • Fixed a bug which sometimes had Flowering Oak Leaves be disconnected from the trees. 
  • Updated Lycanites Mobs to 2.0.8.9
  • Updated RenderLib to 1.2.8
  • Updated ShieldBreak to 1.1.3

Additional Structures

  • Made Underground Bases slightly more common.
  • Made Underground Dungeons slightly more common. 

Aquaculture

  • Made Neptune’s Bounty very slightly more common from fishing. 

 

AtomicStryker’s Battletowers

  • Reduced spawn rate of battle towers
  • Increased amounts of items generated per floor in the towers’ chests. 

AtomicStryker’s Infernal Mobs

  • Disabled the “Sticky” modifier, which would have a player drop their weapon after hitting an enemy with this trait on a short cooldown.
  • Disabled the Witch of the Wind from becoming blighted. 

Better Questing

  • Added Shop via questline (unfinished). 

 

Bloodmoon

  • Increased minimum distance in which mobs can spawn next to players during a bloodmoon. 
  • Decreased natural chance of a bloodmoon starting
  • Set bloodmoons to always occur on every 10th night.

Bountiful Baubles

  • Lowered chance of wormhole and and recall potions spawning in dungeon chests.
  • Slightly reduced chance of all Bountiful Baubles items spawning in dungeon chests.

Charm

  • Disabled the Homing enchantment. 
  • Disabled the flavored cake block. 
  • Increased duration of coffee buffs from 10 to 20 seconds.

CoFH Core

  • Disabled Soulbound enchantment (Corpse Complex’s Soulbinding enchantment already exists)

Corail Tombstone

  • Changed grave spawned upon death to the grave cross. 
  • Changed grave spawning logic from default to nearest. 
  • Change graves to prioritize giving tools in the hotbar when claimed. 
  • Changed marker type when holding a grave key from wing to spark. 
  • Increased chance for a soul to appear on a decorative grave by 200%
  • Decreased time between soul checks on decorative grave from 30 minutes to 20 minutes
  • Decreased the cooldown on the Ankh of Pray from 3 hours to 1 hour
  • Disabled Tombstone Soulbound enchantment and the ability to receive the enchantment from the enchanting table (Corpse Complex’s Soulbinding enchantment already exists).
  • Added a 5% chance to receive an enchanted key upon death. Enchanted keys allow for the player to teleport directly to their grave. 
  • Increased chance for undead mobs to drop Grave Dust from 10% to 12.5% 
  • Ghostly Shape no longer cancels when opening a chest.
  • Ghostly shape no longer cancels when colliding with an enemy. 
  • Decrease the minimum number of villagers required for a village siege to begin from 20 to 10.
  • Increased the chance of a village siege beginning by 20%

Corpse Complex

  • Increased maximum recoverable experience after death to 25%
  • Increased experience lost on death from 70% to 80%
  • Enabled Soulbinding enchantment 

Elenai Dodge

  • Disabled tutorials for dodge upon joining a new world, hopefully fixes a bug where tutorials for the dodge would never leave a player’s screen. 

Familiar Fauna

  • Slightly increased the spawn rate for snails. 

JEI

  • Allowed for searching for items by their item ID using the appropriate prefix (&)

Lycanites Mobs

  •  Banshees will no longer spawn from planks -- they will only spawn from rails & cobwebs. 
  • Reduced chance for mobs to spawn upon mining ores from 5% to 2%. 
  • Added Gorgomites as a possible spawn from mining ores.
  • Enabled random mob events. 
  • Lowered the maximum amount of mobs that are able to spawn of one species at a time. This change was made to fix the problem of large numbers of mobs spawning from this mob in one area and never despawning. 
  • Lowered the weight of mob spawns from this mod slightly. 
  • Increased base experience drops from the Morock from 20 to 30. 
  • Decreased base health of the Morock from 120 to 100. 
  • Added Emeralds as a possible drop from the Morock with a 10% drop rate.

MineColonies

  • Set workers to work even during the rain
  • Decreased delay between a worker mining a block by 20%
  • Disabled the “/mc citizens respawn” command   

Pam’s HarvestCraft

  • Made gardens much rarer
  • Made gardens spread much less often
  • Changed gardens to drop 10 items instead of 3

Recurrent Complex

  • Slightly increased chance of structures spawning from this mod. 

Reskillable

  • Skill requirements for items are now always visible -- it is no longer required to press “shift” to view them. 
  • Added level requirements for a variety of items
    • All leather armor: Defense 2
    • All of Tinkers’ Construct: Magic 20 & Building 20

Scaling Health

  • Changed so mobs drop heart container shards instead of full containers
  • Disabled bonus health regen effect. 
  • Capped the amount of maximum health which can be added to 20 from heart containers (10 full hearts)
  • Set difficulty to increase by 0.1 after killing a blight mob. 
  • Set difficulty to decrease by 1 after sleeping through the night. 
  • Set players to lose 5 difficulty after a death. 
  • Reduced maximum difficulty from 250 to 100. 
  • Set blight mobs to not always drop a heart container when killed. 
  • Lowered minimum health increase for passive mobs from ¼ of a heart to 0. 

Set Bonus

  • Added Set bonus for full Iron Armor -- get the full set and find out what it is!  
  • Added Set bonus for full Silver Armor
