⚙️ Performance-Minded by Design

A large modpack should still make a serious effort to run well. A Place To Be includes a suite of performance-focused mods targeting rendering, memory use, entity visibility, recipe handling, chunk processing, and world saving. These include Embeddium, ModernFix, FerriteCore, ImmediatelyFast, EntityCulling, BadOptimizations, Flerovium, and other targeted optimizations.

The goal is a smoother experience without stripping away the world, detail, or variety that make the pack special. Performance will still depend on your hardware, view distance, world generation, and shader settings — especially when exploring new chunks or running shaders — but optimization has been treated as an important part of the pack, not an afterthought.

🌅 A Tuned Shader Experience

The visuals are tuned around Complementary Shaders and Euphoria Patches to give the pack a cohesive atmosphere — from beautiful landscapes and welcoming homes to eerie ruins and dramatic adventures. Shader use is optional: keep the enhanced visuals when your system can handle them, or switch shaders off to prioritize performance.

🎮 How to Play

Getting started is easy! Follow these steps to begin your adventure:

1. 📥 Install CurseForge — Download the CurseForge App and install it.

2. 🔎 Find the Modpack — Open the app, go to Minecraft, and search for "aPlaceToBe"  under Browse or search for the pack on CurseForge and open it in the app. You can also search by Author name "szunaka".

3. ⬇️ Install the Pack — Click Install and let CurseForge download the required mods and files.

4. ⚙️ Check Your Settings — Make sure Minecraft has enough RAM allocated. Around 6–8 GB without shaders or 8–10 GB with shaders is a good starting point.

5. 🚀 Launch & Explore! — Start the game, create a new world, and begin your journey!

💡 Performance Tip: Shaders are optional. If your game feels sluggish, disable them in the video settings and lower your render distance.

⚠️ System Requirements

• Without shaders: try allocating around 6–8 GB of RAM to Minecraft.
• With shaders: 8–10 GB may be more comfortable, depending on your settings and system.
• Shaders are optional. If performance is your priority, disable them and consider lowering render distance.

⚠️ Note: The game will start with shaders already enabled. You can disable them in the video settings if needed.
