Another DREAM (Origins)

This modpack is an overhaul of the traditional vanilla experience with an emphasis on challenging gameplay, fun mechanics, beauty, and performance.

Adventure and Exploration

Included are dozens of new biomes rife with mobs, blocks, and structures, all awaiting for your exploration. Deep beneath the earth are countless dungeons, all revamped to be significantly more challenging, interesting, and rewarding than their vanilla counterparts. Many non-hostile mobs are now hostile, and almost every mob in the game has new combat mechanics that will make the player struggle. The loot, however, is most certainly worth it. Oh, and don't worry about getting lost while out exploring—that's what the minimap and world map are for!

Automation

There are only four mods related to automation. The first, and completely unrelated to the other three, is Botania. With this mod, you can harvest the natural energies of the world through various means and gain mana, infusing that mana into materials to make advanced weapons, armors, and tools. The other three are all chosen to work specifically together. First, and most importantly, is Create. This is a fantastic mod with an absolutely gorgeous aesthetic that allows you to use rotational power (think cogwheels) to essentially perform any action you would otherwise do in the game. Nearly every single action, from mining for resources to milking cows, can be automated with Create. Then there are two other mods: Tom's Simple Storage and Wireless Network. Tom's mod is for the sake of having a single interface to access and search through every storage method that can be used throughout Create and the other mods in the pack. The Wireless Network mod allows for remote locations to be connected for the sharing of resources. This way, each player can have their own base doing whatever they want, and the whole server can still share all of their resources together if they so wish.

Farming and Construction

For the fans of building your own beautiful home; settling down and starting a farm or ranch, this modpack will work for you. It has a plethora of new farming methods, ranching techniques, and decorative blocks that are just about any builder's dream.

Origins

There are a plethora of origins options to choose from, yet not so many as to be ridiculously difficulty to pick between. Some of the origins are simple and easy to play, but many are complex and highly difficulty yet fun and interesting mechanics. I recommend stepping out of your comfort zone :)

Performance and Graphics

One of the core features of this modpack is its balance between aesthetics and performance. The changes to the game are visually stunning yet still retain the 16x16 appeal of vanilla Minecraft. It is highly recommended to run on high settings, as even lower-end computers should be able to handle the graphical improvements with the corresponding half a dozen performance improvement mods. Even if you need to downgrade to the normal settings though, don't worry—the game will still be gorgeous.

Final Notes

My friends and I play on a server with this modpack on a regular basis, and I am making balance adjustments, mod additions and subtractions, and configuration changes on a frequent basis. Expect this modpack to be regularly updated. In addition, the first game boot will likely crash. This should only happen on the first boot, not subsequent boots.
