This is a beefy modpack with many mods for making tech creations, automation, and just going all out with machines. There are also some magic mods for those who fancy magic as well.
I would recommend using optifine with this modpack. It will give you more video settings that will help you improve overall performance. If you do decide to use optifine, do not enable the render region settings under options > video settings > performance. I noticed some interesting rendering issues when placing certain blocks down in certain areas. It can also affect other people if you're on a server and everyone has it enabled. I also noticed that there were fps issues (although it could be singleplayer only) without using optifine. Under the performance settings (options > video settings > performance), be sure to enable "Smart Animations." For some reason, that just fixes the fps issue.
