AngelSkar Tech

Angelskar eSport's Minecraft tech modpack.

AngelSkar Tech

A modpack based around the collaboration of players in order to progress through tech mods.

What is this pack?

The pack has been carefully balanced to avoid one mod being much more powerful than others. The protagonists here are everyone's favorite tech mods such as Create, Mekanism, Immersive Engineering, Industrial Foregoing, Bigger Reactors and Ad Astra.

The final objective of the pack is to have unlocked the power to reach Venus. To do this, you can do it individually, however the pack is designed to be focused on collaborations between players in a server. This will vastly accelerate the progress towards the final goal.

Balancing

The pack has been balanced through custom recipes which are made via 500 lines of scripts and through finely-tuned configs.

The pack is a tech pack, meaning that there are very few magic mods, and these are only small enhancements to the vanilla game (such as more enchantments).

Mods which were once very over-powered have been tuned down, such as Mekanism, while others have been buffed, allowing them to be able to compete with the other, more powerful mods, such as Immersive Engineering. This will allow each mod to have their own function within your experience.

Mods' features are now gated behind each other, meaning that you are unable to progress one mod without also considering others. This is why this pack was build for servers in mind: with collaboration, the excessive switching between mods can be avoided.

All methods of long-distance teleportation have been disabled. This means that the main form of transportation will be the Create trains or horses. (yes, no elytra, since it has also been removed).

Multiplayer

As already stated, the pack is made with multiplayer in mind. This pack does its best to make players within a server collaborate by encouraging trade.

The pack was built for the AngelSkar eSports group, which is mainly a CS2 server, but we also like to play other games at times! Link to the Discord if you're interested: Discord

Currency

Gold and iron coins are used to trade between players, but how are these made? When a player joins for the first time, they will be given a mint: a machine, which requires no fuel or energy, which will produce these coins very slowly. For the machine to work, the player will transform 1 gold into 1 gold coin or 1 iron ingot into 1 iron coin. (1 gold coin = 8 iron coins). These coins will be produced at a rate of 6 per hour per machine, meaning that the amount of coins in circulation at a given time is limited by this rate, and given that the machine cannot be crafted, there is no problem with inflation!
