Welcome to Ancient Eden, an Undergarden-only modpack where some aspects of the dimension have been modified, some mechanics from older versions have been brought back and other existing mechanics have been overhauled.
BACK TO THE ORIGINS
As mentioned above, some Beta mechanics have been reintroduced such as the removal of hunger and experience. Food now heals health (and can apply certain effects depending on the food) and stacks more or less depending on the amount of health it regenerates.
You can still sprint. However, your Stamina bar will be consumed as you do so. So better save it for getting out of hairy situations!

A WIDER PALETTE
Even if Ancient Eden is an Undergarden-only modpack, you can get your hands on more building and decoration blocks than before such as Marble and Woven Mogmoss.
Also, some existing Vanilla or modded blocks have been retextured to fit better within the Undergarden.

WAIT… WHAT ABOUT ENCHANTING?
Since Experience has been axed, the Enchanting Table and Enchanted Books are no more. Instead, say hello to Enchanted Scrolls, which do not rely on RNG in order to apply enchantments. These are crafted by surrounding a Blank Scroll with an assortment of ingredients depending on the enchantments the scroll will apply. Then, the resulting Enchanted Scrolls can be applied to equipment in a Smithing Table with the help of Regalium Sigils.

However, keep in mind that you can only apply a limited amount of enchantment levels to an item.
You will always be able to make an item more enchantable. Still, this comes with a price that will make you think twice...

Alongside experience, Mending is also gone. However, in compensation, most items can be repaired using a single unit of material at an Anvil.

Some enchantments such as Channeling (which serve no purpose in the Undergarden) have been removed, while others have been overhauled. For instance, Protection has been removed and replaced with Magic Protection, which reduces armor-piercing damage received from sources such as Virulent Mix and Poison damage. Projectile Protection is now Physical Protection and protects against Projectile and Melee damage. Bane of Arthropods is now Blight and deals additional damage against most non-undead mobs, and many weapon enchantments such as Looting can now be applied to more items such as Axes, Maces or Tridents among other changes.
Also be on the lookout for new custom enchantments (and curses)!
AND THAT’S NOT ALL!
This page does not contain all the information about everything in this modpack, as there is much more content that is waiting to be discovered such as reinvented ways of obtaining vanilla items such as Redstone, a few new mobs and a reimagined brewing system using the Crucible (Courtesy of Toil and Trouble by Cassian).
If you are lost, you can take a look at items in the EMI menu, Advancements and tips on the pause screen.
