Description
An Albinspoon of Polonium
This is basically my version of how i think minecraft should be played.
Its a heavily modded survival modpack with a huge questline, alot of custom recipes, chemistry, automation, machines, and a bunch of mods that each add their own little mechanics.
I didnt really make this pack with the idea of just throwing a bunch of mods together. A pretty big part of it is that i changed and connected alot of things to make it play more like how i personally like minecraft.
📖 The Questline
The pack has one massive quest chapter that goes through pretty much the entire progression of the pack.
It starts out with basic survival and slowly gets more complicated as you unlock more machines, resources, processing and other stuff.
The questline is meant to actually give you things to do instead of just having 200 mods installed and being like "ok what the hell do i do now"
🧪 Chemistry and custom recipes
There is a huge amount of custom recipes, and quite a few of them are based around chemistry.
A bunch of resources can be processed into other materials, combined together, seperated, compacted, synthesized and generally turned into things that you wouldnt normally be able to make.
Some recipes also use stuff from completely different mods, so you might end up needing something from one mod just to make something from another mod.
⚙️ Automation and machines
As you progress you can start turning your survival world into a giant factory.
You can process ores, make dusts and components, automate resources and build production lines using machines from different mods.
The further you get, the more you start having to connect everything together.
🏭 Tiers and progression
The pack has different tiers of progression, and the recipes get more expensive and complicated as you go.
Early game is still pretty normal minecraft, but eventually you're dealing with huge production chains and alot more advanced machinery.
The point isnt just to get the strongest machine and be done with it. You have to actually build up the stuff needed to make the next things.
💎 The endgame
The endgame gets stupidly expensive.
There are recipes for some creative items and blocks that require massive amounts of resources, and some of the recipes use materials from a ton of different mods.
So by the time you get to the endgame, you cant really just ignore half the pack. You end up needing all the factories and processing systems you've built along the way.
Its basically the point where your entire industrial setup gets put to work.
🧠 The actual point of the pack
The biggest thing about this pack is probably that it feels like my kind of minecraft.
I added the stuff i wanted, changed recipes how i wanted them, connected mods together how i thought made sense, and added a bunch of random things that i thought would be cool.
Its not really trying to be the most realistic or the most hardcore or anything like that.
Its just how i like playing minecraft, turned into a modpack.
If you like making complicated factories for no reason, turning random materials into other materials, having way too many machines, and following one massive questline for way longer than you probably should, you'll probably like this pack.
And yes, there is probably a recipe somewhere that makes you wonder why i made it like that.
🚀 Starting a New World/The introduction
When you start a completely new world you dont just spawn in the normal way.
You wake up inside a crashed spaceship thats pretty much been abandoned for who knows how long. Its covered in cobwebs, dirt, ash and stone, and theres debris pretty much everywhere.
You have no idea where you are or what happened.
The spaceship isnt just a starting room either. Theres actually rooms and secrets hidden inside it, so you can start digging through all the dirt and debris to see what you can find.
There can be loot hidden around the ship, and you can find things like an energy cube and a solar panel if you look around enough.
You can either just try to excavate the whole thing and search for resources and loot, or you can try to get out as fast as possible.
Once you finally manage to dig your way out, you find out that the entire spaceship is sitting in a medium sized crater.
And thats basically where your new world starts.
From there you have a huge amount of FTB Quests to guide you through the pack, with quests that give you goals, rewards and information about all the different stuff in the pack.
Also there are going to be an illegal amount of puns in the quests.
You have no idea where you are, no idea what happened to your spaceship, and now you have to figure out what to do next.
Good luck 👍

also it might be a bit exentric but i just wanted to make it public because i liked it so much
