PCT Fabric

PCT Fabric is a Vanilla+ Minecraft modpack designed primarily for playing survival with friends. The goal of the pack is to keep the familiar Minecraft survival experience while improving exploration, multiplayer, visuals, inventory management, resource gathering, and everyday quality-of-life features.

Instead of completely changing Minecraft with complicated machines or massive progression systems, PCT Fabric expands on the things you already do in a normal survival world. You can explore with a detailed map, communicate with nearby friends using proximity voice chat, carry more supplies during adventures, discover additional structures, harvest resources more efficiently, and enjoy improved animations and visual effects.

🗺️ Exploration, Maps & Waypoints

Exploring is much easier with Xaero's Minimap, Xaero's World Map, and XaeroPlus.

Players have access to a minimap while traveling as well as a full world map that fills in as the world is explored. You can create waypoints for important locations such as your base, villages, farms, mines, Nether portals, or interesting structures.

This makes long multiplayer adventures much easier because everyone can keep track of important locations instead of relying entirely on coordinates.

Dungeons and Taverns also makes exploration more interesting by adding additional structures throughout the world. Traveling thousands of blocks isn't just about finding another biome—you can encounter more places worth stopping at and exploring.

🎙️ Better Multiplayer

Simple Voice Chat adds proximity-based voice communication to multiplayer.

Instead of having to constantly use Discord while playing, players can talk to each other directly inside Minecraft. Voices are positional and distance-based, making multiplayer feel more immersive.

For example, you might hear a friend talking beside you while you're both working on a base, but their voice will become quieter as they walk farther away.

It's especially useful when exploring caves, building together, or splitting into groups during an adventure.

🎒 Better Inventory & Adventure Management

Traveler's Backpack gives players additional portable storage for longer adventures.

Instead of constantly returning home because your inventory is full, you can bring additional supplies and carry more items while mining, exploring, or building away from your main base.

Easy Shulker Boxes also improves shulker box management, making late-game storage more convenient.

Other inventory improvements such as Mouse Tweaks, Chest Search Bar, Searchables, and Controlling make it easier to manage items, search inventories, and find keybinds.

⛏️ Faster Resource Gathering

PCT Fabric reduces some of the repetitive parts of survival Minecraft without removing the need to gather resources.

VeinMiner makes mining groups of blocks much faster, while Tree Harvester improves wood gathering by allowing trees to be harvested more conveniently.

RightClickHarvest makes farming smoother by allowing crops to be harvested and replanted more efficiently.

These features mean you can spend less time repeatedly breaking the same blocks and more time building, exploring, and progressing through your world.

🌾 Improved Farming

Farming receives several convenient improvements.

With RightClickHarvest, maintaining crop farms is faster and easier. Animal Feeding Troughs can help automate parts of animal feeding, making larger farms easier to maintain.

These additions are especially useful on multiplayer servers where players may build larger community farms and food-production areas.

❤️ More Useful HUD Information

Several mods provide useful information without requiring players to constantly open menus.

AppleSkin provides more detailed hunger and saturation information.

Armor Durability HUD helps you monitor your equipped armor so you know when important gear is getting close to breaking.

Durability Tooltip provides additional durability information for your equipment.

Health Bars makes it easier to see the health of mobs and other entities.

Day Count keeps track of how many Minecraft days your world has survived.

Overflowing Bars improves the display of values such as health when they become larger than the normal HUD was designed to show.

Together, these additions give players more information while still keeping the normal Minecraft survival HUD recognizable.

✨ Improved Visuals & Animations

PCT Fabric includes several mods that make Minecraft feel more modern and polished.

Not Enough Animations adds additional third-person player animations that make actions feel more natural.

Chat Animation makes chat messages appear more smoothly.

ItemPhysic Lite improves how dropped items appear and behave in the world.

Continuity improves connected textures and visual consistency.

Custom Glow Enchantment Outline gives enchanted equipment an improved visual appearance.

Dynamic Lights allows certain light-producing items and objects to illuminate the surrounding area dynamically.

The pack also includes Iris Shaders, allowing players to use compatible shader packs if they want to dramatically change Minecraft's lighting and atmosphere.

🚀 Performance

Visual improvements don't have to mean terrible performance.

Sodium is included to improve Minecraft's rendering performance and FPS. Other optimization-focused additions such as Clumps help reduce unnecessary performance impact during normal gameplay.

The goal is to provide additional features and visual improvements while still keeping the pack practical for everyday multiplayer survival.

🛠️ Better Enchanting & Equipment Management

Several smaller improvements make working with equipment less frustrating.

Easy Anvils improves the anvil experience, while Easy Magic improves interactions with enchanting tables.

Enchantment Descriptions explains what enchantments actually do, making it easier to understand unfamiliar enchantments without searching online.

Better Than Mending provides additional convenience when dealing with Mending equipment.

An Elytra/Chestplate Swapper makes switching between protection and flight equipment faster, and Customizable Elytra provides additional customization options.

🧍 Movement & Perspective

Players have additional ways to control and view their character.

Crawl provides improved crawling functionality.

Shoulder Surfing Reloaded offers an alternative third-person camera perspective that can be useful for exploration and general gameplay.

Zoomify provides a convenient configurable zoom for seeing distant objects.

These features are optional tools that players can use depending on how they prefer to play.

🎮 Controller Support

PCT Fabric includes Controlify, bringing improved controller support to Minecraft Java Edition.

This makes the pack much more comfortable for players who prefer a controller instead of keyboard and mouse and provides a more console-like control experience.

🧪 Recipe & Item Information

Just Enough Items (JEI) provides an easy way to browse items and recipes directly inside Minecraft.

Instead of searching the internet every time you forget a crafting recipe, you can search for an item and view how it is crafted from within the game.

This becomes especially useful when learning the additional items introduced by the pack.

🏕️ More Comfortable Survival

Comforts provides useful sleeping options for players traveling away from their main base.

Other smaller quality-of-life additions, including Pickup Notifications, Cut Through, Armor Statues, and various interface improvements, make everyday survival interactions feel smoother without turning the game into something completely different.

What Kind of Modpack Is This?

PCT Fabric is built around a Vanilla+ multiplayer survival experience.

You can start a world much like you normally would—collect wood, build a base, mine, farm, explore, enchant equipment, visit the Nether, and eventually reach the End—but many of the frustrating or repetitive parts of that experience have been improved.

A typical session might involve grabbing your Traveler's Backpack, marking your base on Xaero's map, heading out with friends while talking through proximity voice chat, discovering a new structure, quickly gathering a vein of ore, using dynamic lighting while exploring a cave, and creating waypoints for interesting locations you want to return to later.

Back at the base, improved farming, storage, enchanting, inventory searching, equipment information, and crafting tools make managing everything you've collected much easier.

The pack is intended for groups of friends who want Minecraft to still feel like Minecraft, just with more convenience, better exploration tools, improved visuals, additional structures, and a smoother multiplayer experience.
