The intention of this modpack is to deliver a mostly balanced and well modded minecraft gameplay. On the one hand, it should modify nearly every aspect of the Minecraft gaming experience. On the other hand, it shouldn’t provide an overwhelming number of mods, because it isn’t really necessary to have 10 different mods which implement the same machines, blocks or items over and over again.

The modpack provides the following features:

World Generation

The landscape generation is mostly defined by the mod RTG (Realistic Terrain Generation). In addition, it is a little more balanced by the mod Climate Control/Geogricraft. The patchwork like world generation of Minecraft is replaced with a more realistic and beautiful landscape.

Furthermore, the pack contains Ruins for a diversified exploration. Since the mod alone only has a small variety of structures I added a whole bunch of templates of Jordan Peacock (AKA Jordan_Greywolf) and Wendy Peacock (AKA Kujaku10). The templates can be found in their dropbox:

The spawning rules of most of the overworld generation have been modified, so that the generated entities are rarer. This also applies to the villages and caves. The reason for this decision is, that in “modern” Minecraft it is absolutely no problem to find a lot of villages and other points of interest. The result is, that these POIs aren’t a special feature anymore.

I also tried to avoid doubled generation of ores. Therefore, UniDict and Substratum have been installed, so every possible ore is generated by Substratum and all crafting products will be unified by UniDict. Special ores will still be generated by the mod which adds them. In the nether the ores are generated by MMD OreSpawn and the Nether Metals mod. The recipes for the processing of these ores have been added manually with CraftTweaker.

The generation of other materials like marble, limestone, basalt and others has not been touched to grant a greater diversity whilst mining.

Tech Mods

A great part of the modpack is about technical mods. I also tried to avoid too much overlaps in this part, but that’s not entirely possible, I think. In addition, a greater variety of generators is also helpful for different gaming styles. I won’t list all the technical mods here in the description, but I will mention some of them.

For the main ore processing and creating large amounts of Energy I added Mekanism.

Additionally, there are Ender IO, RFTools, Extra Utilities, Immersive Engineering and some more.
The energy conduits of Ender IO are rebalanced to transfer an equal amount of energy like the Mekanism cable. The reason is, that these conduits are way more compatible to the other mods than the ones from Mekanism.

There is also Flux Networks which is also compatible to most of the mods and which provides a possibility to transfer energy without cables. This is configured to transfer massive amounts of energy, because I don’t like Mekanism large reactors with 10 cables for an adequate energy transfer.

Refined Storage is added for a manageable and configurable storage system for items and fluids.

There are many mods which should improve the usability of Minecraft. Moreover, there are also many mods for some smaller or greater items which also have the purpose to facilitate the gameplay:

The Spice of Life for a reason to take the different foods with you.
Better Builder’s Wands and Not Enough Wands for easier building.

Notes

If you read my description and think “there are really some great mods missing” please check the mod list, because I wanted to mention the “special” aspects of my pack and not the mods which are essential for most packs. This does not mean, that I implemented all great mods in this modpack.

Since this is my first modpack, please try to be forgiving for potential mistakes of mine. Please write your suggestions and/or your critics in the comments.

I try to keep up to the latest versions of the mods without disregarding the stability of the modpack.

I absolutely try to avoid the removal of mods, to ensure a stable experience. But if I recognize a mod causing problems without a proper solution I will remove it from my pack.
