A modpack with few big content mods to keep things fresh but not overwhelming. Mods like thaumcraft and botania for magic or immersive engineering for tech. A few dimension mods like Atum or aether legacy are in for some more exploration. Fairly standard pack for a few friends and a small server. Use the nutrition mod to make it so you need all parts of the food pyramid, and use pam's harvestcraft to manage hunger with the many new crops it adds. Make automatic factories with immersive engineering conveyor belts or with thaumcraft golems or even rats.
