It's been over a month since the 1.4.0 update, and almost a month since the 1.4.1 patch. I hope you like the Adventure Squared update!
ADJ will soon be available on Modrinth! I hope the platform won't go to hell now that they got sold out to some shady company…
Mod Changes
In preparations for the Modrinth release, I had to remove some mods licensed under ARR (All Rights Reserved) that weren't on Modrinth by default. Those mods being:
FastBoot (it was redundant anyway, it was a placebo that did the same thing as LazyDFU)
Aether Delight
Decorative Bottles
Exhaustion Options (integrated into ADJ Core)
Forviging Border (integrated into ADJ Core)
Faster Fly Break Speed (integrated into ADJ Core)
Quit or Not
Tax Ocean Architect
Updated Tide, which fixed plenty of issues related to Fish Satchel.
Reintroduced Wormhole Potions.
Added More Crafting Tables.
Gameplay Changes
- Fixed Fortresses being unable to be found with Wayfinding Ritual.
- Damage over time damage instances no longer cause the screen to shake.
- Plenty more structures can be located using the Wayfiding Ritual.
- Fixed mobs in hardcore not getting the 50% health boost (and also it spamming the console with some errors).
- Arrows are no longer rendered when in players to prevent them from obstructing the view.
- Enchanted items now AGAIN show a higher rarity.

- Renamed Corpse Maggot to just Maggot.
- All Chains are now climbable rather than just the vanilla chains block.
- Added recipes for Mushroom Blocks (extends to modded variants).
- Ported some of Myriad's recipe additions.
- Manabloom Fiber can no longer be used in place of String in recipes.
- Entering Twilight Forest now gives 15 seconds of Slow Falling to save players from dying whenever entering the dimension (cause the mod is awful as shit).
- Fixed some Twilight Forest progression stops (e.g. Labyrinth being unable to be entered).
- Kobolds no longer spawn in Twilight Forest.
- Added a dedicated accessory slot for a Spyglass.
- Ported over some blocks from Blockus mod, those being: Dyed Tiles, Dyed Stone Bricks, Neon Blocks and Ashpalt Blocks.
- Fixed Cinnabar and Sulfur Pressure Plates missing from their block sets.
- Removed Architect's Pallette Ore Bricks until I add ore brick sets for every ore.

- MythicMetals Nether ores now follow the expanded Nether height distribution.
- Alex's Caves biomes generate slightly deeper underground to prevent them from spilling to the surface.
- Sun Altar (Aether) now works in all dimensions with a daylight cycle.
- Zombified Piglins no logner get mad when Quartz is mined near them. I didn't even know that was enabled, it was never supposed to be because I HATED THAT in Beyond Depth.
- Mobs now properly spawn holding Shield Expansion shields rather than the disabled, vanilla ones.
- Removed Pocket Jukebox.
- Rain and thunder durations have been tweaked across all seasons. Rains in autumn can last up to 3 days and thunders don't occur naturally in winter.
Balance Changes
- Sentry Ring ember damage is now slightly bigger (1 -> 6).
- Portal Guns now only spawn in chests from Chapter 2 onwards (not retroactive to already looted chests).

- Fallen Kanade uses less mana when applying its buff (120 -> 25).
- Loonium uses less mana per mob spawned (35k -> 20k).
- Orechids use less mana (12.5k -> 9k for regular and 15k -> 12k for Ignem) and transform blocks faster (once every 6s -> 4s).
- Carpets are now crafted in batches of 8 rather than 3.
- Reduced Endoflame generation per tick (12 -> 10, or in other words 240 -> 200 per second).
- Vibrantia now makes 30 mana per vibration and 60 mana with overgrowth seed.
- Rainute and Glaciflora make more mana.
- Removed Candysnuft due to its exploitable nature.

- Totem of Growth has doubled range (5 -> 10) and increased chance to bone meal crops (20% -> 25%).
- Night passes a lot quicker on multiplayer if only one person is sleeping (2x -> 5x). Maximum/Singleplayer speed remains the same (15x).
- Terra Blade now uses Fiery Sword instead of Teadrop Cleaver in its recipe.
Performance and Stability
- Certain blocks no longer provide info overlays (e.g. Cartography Table no longer shows coordinates) due to confusion and lag problems on weaker devices.
- Fixed crashes in the Oasis biome.
- ADJ should no longer crash due to LegacyRandomSource related issues.
- Fixed a Neruina ticking exception related to the Wither Storm.
Other
