This pack is the custom Modpack for ACOG (Aberystwyth Community Of Gamers), which is a university society based in Aberystwyth. This Modpack is open for the whole Minecraft community to try! This pack contains a wide range of mods so as to contain something for everyone!
This pack contains;
Botania and Thaumcraft (with Thaumic Tinkerer)
Botania allows you to craft various magical items that give you all manner of different magical effects, as well as more traditional armour sets and weapons, for your standard everyday uses.
Thaumcraft is somewhat similar in that you can also create magical items that do all sorts of crazy things, however, you can also craft your own multipurpose wand that can do things such as replace blocks from one type to another, or create temporary holes through solid blocks!
Thermal Foundation, Immersive Engineering and Big Reactors
These mods allow you to create various machines and sources of power for them! You can make machines that double the amount of Iron that you would get from Iron Ore, or jetpacks to allow you to fly and subsequent charging station to charge them. Be careful though, messing with Reactors for power is not to be taken lightly!
Extra Utilities and Buildcraft
These mods add pipes and quarries that allow you to automate different tasks! Quarries are used to mine large areas of land and each mod adds a type of pipe that can be used to then sort the items that have been mined, and transport them to various places. These mods also add several other useful items for automating many different tasks!
Applied Energistics, Iron Chests, Ender Storage and Chest Transporters
These mods offer different solutions to your traditional Minecraft storage. Iron Chests adds upgradable chests that have a larger storage area than regular chests! Ender Storage allows you to use colour coded Ender Chests to store your goods in. It also comes with pouches to access these storages from within your inventory! Chest Transporters allow you to move chests without breaking them and transferring their contents over manually. And lastly, Applied Energistics allows you to make a system that uses constant power, but let's you store your items in a digital storage system. a small 4 or 5 block setup can end up containing tens of thousands of items!
Bibilo Craft, Decocraft and Pam's Harvestcraft
Biblio Craft and Decocraft allow you to make decorative items that you wouldn't normally see in Minecraft, like chairs, lamps, dressers and so much more! Pam's Harvest craft on the other hand, allows you to create all sorts of wondrous food! You can make your own little kitchen setup, with fridge and drawers included and create all sorts of gourmet creations, like hamburgers or rainbow bacon!
Open Blocks and Portal Guns
Open Blocks adds a plethora of items that all do wildly different things. It adds elevator blocks, for easy vertical travel. Hang-gliders, to glide across the sky. It also adds more mischievous items, such as the Golden Egg, however I wont spoil what it does for you, try using one yourself! The Portal Gun mod really does what it says on the tin, it adds the Portal guns to minecraft! These can be very rarely found in dungeon chests, or, if you've got the resources, can be crafted with a nether star! Be Careful not to shoot a portal at the moon though, who knows what could happen!
