# Minecraft Academy 101 – v1.2.3

A major quality-of-life, localization, UI and compatibility update for Academy 101.

## Added Mods & Mod Changes

- Added the **FTB Ultimine** mod for faster and more convenient block mining.
- Added the **Just Zoom** mod for a simple and useful zoom function.
- Added the **Enchantment Insights** mod to explain what enchantments do directly in item tooltips and enchanting interfaces.
- Added the **Effect Insights** mod to explain potion and status effects.
- Added the **Durability Tooltip** mod to make remaining item durability easier to understand.
- Added the **BetterF3** mod to make Minecraft's vanilla F3 debug screen cleaner and easier to read.
- Added the **Clumps** mod to improve performance by combining nearby experience orbs.

### Updated Mods & Dependencies

- Updated **Balm**.
- Updated **Entity Culling**.
- Updated **Simple Config Lib**.
- Updated and adjusted **FTB-related components**, including FTB Ultimine integration.
- Added the required dependencies for the newly included mods, including **Puzzles Lib**, **Cloth Config API**, and **SuperMartijn642's Config Lib**.
- General mod compatibility and dependency cleanup.

## Localization Improvements

- Added localized descriptions for vanilla enchantments used by **Enchantment Insights**.
- Added localized descriptions for vanilla potion and status effects used by **Effect Insights**.
- These descriptions now follow Academy 101's supported languages and regional language variants.
- Improved consistency between quest translations, interface text and educational tooltips.
- Academy 101 continues to support its full multilingual and regional locale system.

## Maps, Waypoints & Coordinates

- Improved the **Maps & Waypoints** guide.
- The guide now explains that minimaps and waypoints are not part of vanilla Minecraft.
- Added an explanation of Minecraft's vanilla **X, Y and Z coordinates** and how they can be used to save and find important locations.
- Added a note explaining that **BetterF3** only improves the readability of the existing vanilla F3 screen; it does not add the F3 system itself.

## Academy UI Improvements

- Expanded the custom Academy 101 visual style to more Minecraft screens.
- Added Academy backgrounds to additional menus, settings screens, world-related screens and loading screens.
- Improved visual consistency between the main menu and the rest of the interface.
- Improved background resource preloading to reduce missing or delayed custom backgrounds.
- Improved several menu layouts and screen-specific customizations.

## Resource Pack & Rendering Fixes

- Fixed an issue where **distant trees and foliage could disappear or fail to render correctly after starting the game**.
- Adjusted the resource reload process so Academy 101's custom visual resources load correctly.
- The Academy 101 resource pack is now handled automatically through **Paxi**.
- Players no longer need to manually enable a separate Academy resource pack.
- Removed redundant resource-pack handling that could cause inconsistent loading behavior.
- Improved reliability of Academy UI textures and translated mod tooltips after startup.

## Quest & Guide Improvements

- Improved several quests related to **Enchanting and Potions**.
- Expanded explanations for enchantments such as Mending, Infinity, Feather Falling, Unbreaking and Fire Protection.
- Improved enchanting-table and bookshelf guidance.
- Improved the Maps & Waypoints section with vanilla coordinate education.
- Various wording, layout, icon and consistency improvements across the quest book.
- Additional translation fixes and improvements across supported languages.

## Fixes & Technical Improvements

- Fixed missing mods in exported CurseForge profiles.
- Corrected the CurseForge manifest so all included mods are properly recognized.
- Updated `modlist.html` to match the actual modpack contents.
- Improved FancyMenu screen registration and custom background handling.
- Improved Paxi resource-pack integration.
- Various configuration, compatibility and startup fixes.
