This modpack is a quiet and dignified change to the core gameplay of minecraft. You accept it is fundamentally different, but the playstyle is similar to vanilla minecraft. Sure, the mods add a great many more things to do, but it sill feels like just another minecraft project, albeit with much more possibilities. You want to create an intricate railway system on your world? Railcraft. Not satisfied with the faux-magic of vanilla? Botania, Thaumcraft etc. Live a little. It will be hard to go back.
