Long ago in the age of Minecraft Java edition 1.11.2, I had an idea for a series of modpacks. Modpacks that all would tell a unique story, each pack connected to another in a way that required players to have experienced the other mod packs involved to understand the big picture of what was going on in the grand narrative of a fantasy story that was simply to be called "A Traveler's Tale".
The player would experience the tale(s) from the viewpoint of the narrator of the tales, that being the character apply named "The traveler".
Or so that was the original plan. sadly, Mods changed and or updated, stopped being supported or simply broke down during testing phases between different mod packs configurations - and even then I worked through the problems on my Toaster of a PC, finding supplementary ways to work around many of the issues until the unthinkable happened. My PC had experienced a suffered a virus attack that corrupted critical files to the point where I was forced to fully wipe my PC and reinstall from scratch everything from the OS up. And so the original mod packs and the lists of mods , the file fixes, everything was lost and I had given up for a few years.
Cue 2020, and i saw a few mods for a mod pack idea i had that i was never even able to begin back then due to the lack of the correct mods to perform such an idea - and best off. I found the mods had only recently at that point been updated to 1.16.4.
It was like a second chance to begin "A Traveler's Tale" from scratch now that alot of the mods I had been looking for to use in the original modpack idea that had inspired the entire "A Traveler's Tale" series idea had happened to be now sitting on 1.16.4. So i ran with it, got back into make ModPacks, testing the mods them for compatibility, and i made the first modpack i had mad in over 3 or 4 years time. And then- welp... i ran into my toaster of a PC being unable to keep up with the heavy load of that modpack after a while, only being able to run it for very short periods of time, and being unable to stream the content to show it off. However.. I noticed alot of the smaller mods installed in this pack had themes or functions that covered One of my lost Modpacks in functionality - and then 1.16.5 rolled around, and i discovered either more mods updated to 1.16.5, or the existing 1.16.4 mods worked perfectly as was for 1.16.5!
AND SO I KNEW WHAT I HAD TO DO!
I had to recreate the "A Traveler's Tale" series modpacks once again. And so now here we are, with the first modpack in that intended modpack series, i would call this pack an Alpha build because it only includes the mods I can recall or mods that cover most the similar functions. It still lacks the story elements, and its Quests are so far limited in design. but as far as playability is concerned - the modpack functions and works perfectly- and by perfectly I mean I've yet to discover and mod conflicts with the current build of mods in this Modpack. And alot of People have been asking me "so when are you going to release the modpack(s)?" Since this is playable as it is right now (as far as i can tell!), I figured why not release it and let folks have some fun while I work on recreating the lost narrative from the original unreleased "ATT: Pokecube" modpack in my own free time.
If there's any mod conflicts please report a copy of the bugs to the original mod authors as I have Zero experience with editing the code for minecraft mods and i can't for the life of me fix another mod author's work.
