A Fighting Chance
A vanilla+ modpack centered around trying to survive Scape and Run: Parasites. While the focus is on trying to stay as close to vanilla as possible, certain mods were added to help with survival, such as the Thermal series, and Tinker's Construct.
Scape and Run changes the goals in Minecraft significantly, forcing you to outperform the parasites in order to survive. If you aren't prepared, you will die, and you will likely have to make a new world if things get too disheartening. However, practice makes perfect, and bringing along some friends doesn't hurt either. Good luck!
