ZV-Houses 1.0.8 for Minecraft 26.1 — a modpack fix
Fixed
Polished stone stopped counting as refined in some modpacks. Blueprint materials come in two tiers: rough stone you mine as-is, and refined stone you process. Where another mod broadens Minecraft's shared "stone" tag — Balm does, and it arrives as a requirement of Waystones — polished andesite, polished diorite, polished granite and polished deepslate were being treated as rough, so a house wanting refined stone would not take them.
ZV-Houses now decides that tier for itself instead of relying on how other mods label a block, so the answer is the same in a heavily-modded pack as it is in a plain install. Modded stone variants are read the same way as vanilla ones, and blocks that are deliberately curated as raw — smooth basalt, for instance — stay raw.
Under the hood
- This was found by running the mod inside a real 76-mod pack rather than on its own, which is where the tag was being widened. The fix was confirmed by running the same test suite twice against that pack, once with each version.
- 94 automated in-game tests pass on this build.
Requires / compatible with
- Minecraft 26.1.2
- NeoForge 26.1.2.99 or newer
- No other mods required. ZV-Houses runs standalone: you can craft Blueprints and build every design yourself. Installing ZombieVillage adds villagers who build them for you.
Migration notes
- Existing worlds, placed stations and finished houses are unaffected. No action needed.
- This is the Minecraft 26.1 line. The Minecraft 1.21.1 builds are separate and are not superseded by it.
