What's new

ZV-Houses 1.0.7+mc26.1.2 — ten fixes, two of them serious

This release also carries everything from 1.0.6, which was never published.

Fixed — update if you are on 1.0.4 or 1.0.5

  • Server crash on multiplayer. With a shelf's inventory open, if another player broke one of the connected shelves and placed a different container there, clicking that tab crashed the server — and it crashed again on every restart until the world moved on. Shelf tabs now refuse anything that is not a shelf.
  • Blueprint stations accepted any material from a hopper. The deposit slots correctly rejected wrong items when you dragged them in by hand, but a hopper could push in anything, so a whole house could be paid for with dirt. Automation is now held to exactly the same material rules as the deposit screen.

Fixed — item loss and duplication

  • Explosions did not return a station's blueprint. A creeper or TNT destroyed the station and took the blueprint with it. A blown-up station now returns the blueprint with its deposited materials intact, exactly as breaking one by hand does.
  • The Build button destroyed items left in station slots the chosen house did not use. They are now returned instead.
  • A build still running when you quit to title kept running against the closed world, and the materials you had already paid were gone with nothing to show. Builds are now dropped along with the world.
  • Breaking a shelf that carried a loot table could hand back its contents and leave the shelf standing, over and over. Only reachable through commands or a datapack, but it is closed.

Fixed — blocks and building

  • Furniture faced the wrong way in rotated houses. Countertops and round tables ignored the house's rotation, so legs and joins pointed wrongly in any house not facing north. 23 blocks were affected.
  • Rain barrels were destroyed by draining them. Taking the last water removed the barrel; it now simply empties.
  • Mobs and villagers walked into closed shutters and thin walls and ground against them, because those blocks reported themselves as walkable while being solid. They now path around, and villagers navigate shuttered houses properly.
  • Shuttered shelves could hang open forever if you disconnected, died or unloaded the chunk with the inventory open. They now close on their own.

Fixed — smaller things

  • Locked shelves, from an adventure map or datapack, opened for anyone. The lock is now honoured.
  • A shelf renamed on an anvil showed the generic block name on its inventory screen instead of the name you gave it.
  • Bedside tables and counters had selection outlines that cut straight through their drawer fronts.
  • Shelves and blueprint stations can now be inspected in spectator mode, like every vanilla container.
  • In single-player, a station's wireframe outline could linger from a previous world or disappear while the station was still standing.

Under the hood

  • The in-game test suite grew from 61 tests to 93. Every fix in this release is covered by a test that was proven to fail without it and pass with it.
  • Nine of the ten defects above need a second actor to happen at all — a hopper, another player, an explosion, or a world closing — which is why they survived a full manual playthrough of the previous build.

Requires / compatible with

  • Minecraft 26.1.2 — exactly this version.
  • NeoForge 26.1.2.99 or newer. Earlier 26.1.2.x builds are not supported.
  • No other mods required. ZV-Houses runs standalone: you can craft Blueprints and build every design yourself. Installing ZombieVillage adds villagers who build them for you.

Migration notes

  • Existing worlds, placed stations and finished houses are unaffected. No action needed.
  • A shuttered shelf already stuck open from the old bug will stay open until you open and close its inventory once, which fixes it permanently.
  • This is a separate line from the 1.21.1 builds. 1.1.9 remains the current release for Minecraft 1.21.1 and is not superseded by this file.
