ZV-Houses 1.0.3 — release notes

What's new

  • Build our houses in survival — no Zombie Village required. ZV-Houses is now a mod that stands on its own. Craft a Blueprint, cut it in a stonecutter to choose from 14 houses, and set it down — a live wireframe shows exactly where the house will stand.
  • Feed it, then Build. The placed station opens a deposit menu that doubles as a materials checklist — each slot's count shows red until it's satisfied, green when it's done. Fill them and press Build; the house rises from the ground up in the blocks you supplied.
  • Build it in your own materials. Whatever you deposit substitutes within its family — any log for any log, any grey stone for tuff/andesite/cobble, and so on. Mix materials across slots and they all show up in the finished house, so the same house can be built a dozen different ways.
  • Portable blueprints. A loaded blueprint remembers everything you've put into it (it shimmers, and its tooltip shows Materials X / Y). Break the station and it all comes back with you — carry it, store it, finish it later. Once you press Build, though, the house is permanent.
  • Only the structure costs materials — furniture, decoration, and workstations are included free with the build.

Fixed

  • Blacksmith reshaped so it no longer blocks village walking paths.
  • Farm extended upward for more vertical crop space (now with a composter).
  • Barn animal pens are properly fenced and gated; added a loom.
  • Rain barrel no longer uses up a water bucket when it's already full.
  • Assorted house fixes — freed an unreachable chest in the bakery, and tidied workstations in the fishery and shop.

Under the hood

  • Hardened the recipe-conflict tooling so a custom recipe can't silently override a vanilla one.

Requires / compatible with

  • Minecraft 1.21.1
  • NeoForge 21.1.224 or newer
  • No mod dependencies — works fully standalone, and still integrates with Zombie Village when it's installed.

Migration notes

  • None. Existing worlds and houses are unaffected.
