Do you like building zoos in Minecraft, but have nobody to show them to? This mod adds a new set of npcs who will wander around your zoo and pay for the priviledge.

Simply build yourself a Zoo Donation Barrel and watch as vacationing villagers arrive to view your animals.

At the end of the day, zoogoers will leave emeralds in the donation barrel on their way out. The size of the donation will depend on the variety, quantity, and general impressiveness of the animals in your zoo (for example, livestock and animals found commonly in villages are not very impressive for a zoo, but still better than nothing).

As your zoo grows, you can build areas dedicated to specific kinds of animals. There are specialized zoogoers who prefer some kinds of animals over the rest:

Bird Watchers, who mostly want to see birds.

Fish Fans, who of course love aquatic animals.

Herp Enthusiasts, who love reptiles and amphibians.

Monster Lovers, who are a bit too into monsters.

Star Gazers, who want to see animals from other planets or dimensions.

The Technical Details

Zoogoers have a 10% chance to spawn on top of the donation barrel every time it receives a random tick during the day. From there, they will wander randomly and admire all the animals they see. Keep in mind that they are stupid and lack self-preservation instincts. Tourists, am I right?

Zoogoers score every animal they see based on how impressive it is (for example, pandas are pretty cool, so they are worth 5 points, but cats exist in every village, so they are only 0.2 points). Every subsequent animal of the same species will get you marginally more points, but not as much as a new species will. Diversity is key to a good zoo!

At nightfall, they will make their way back to the barrel. Before they despawn they will leave some random number (up to their total score) of emeralds behind in the donation barrel.

Specialist zoogoers are, generally speaking, half as interested in most animals, but twice as interested in their favorite animals. They will also sometimes leave behind items in the donation barrel.

This mod has built-in integrations with many animal mods in order to make sure the specialists know what they're seeing, but even if an integration is not included, each new animal will default to being worth 1 point.
