Zombotron: Recrafted — 1.1.0 Perimeter and Hive Update
Version 1.1.0 expands exploration with colony outposts and underground hive nests, introduces WARDEN sentries and infection mechanics, and reworks creature arrivals, combat feedback, animations and audio.
NEW STRUCTURES
- Added ruined Colony Outposts with abandoned defenses, industrial wreckage, supply crates and colonist records.
- Outposts contain depleted WARDEN sentries that players can recharge and reclaim.
- Added underground Hive Nests with living biomass, dormant egg sacs, expedition remains and biological loot.
- Structure loot connects exploration with equipment crafting, Biobot upgrades and brood progression.
WARDEN COLONY SENTRY
- Added a placeable, rechargeable automated turret with a 16-block engagement range.
- Each energy cell provides 36 shots, with storage for up to six cells.
- Fires three-shot bursts, tracks moving targets and prioritizes dangerous hive enemies.
- Avoids firing through players, villagers, golems, tame animals and allied Biobots.
- Dormant creatures are ignored until they awaken.
- Added barrel wear, repair-kit maintenance, overheating and low-charge warnings.
- Sneak + right-click toggles the sentry; right-click displays its status.
- Redstone signals disable firing, while comparators report remaining charge.
- Added ownership, nearby combat notifications and recovery of unused whole cells when dismantled.
- Added animated scanning, startup calibration, smooth aiming, recoil, muzzle flashes, barrel glow and cooling steam.
CREATURE ARRIVALS
- Reworked natural spawns and patrol arrivals into visible awakening sequences with warning sounds, particles and opportunities to react.
- Infected Zombies emerge from the ground after scratching and disturbing the soil.
- Kamikazes assemble their explosive charges before becoming fully active. Destroying one during assembly prevents its explosion.
- Mutants hatch from biomass cocoons. Strong hits or sunlight can force a premature, temporarily weakened emergence.
- Biobot patrols begin in standby and perform a cold-start sequence when disturbed.
- Standby Biobots can be reprogrammed before they activate.
- Miner Bots drill out of cave walls or emerge through the floor.
- Naturally spawning brood creatures now begin as dormant egg sacs.
- Dormant Biospiders announce their presence through underground impacts, roars, dust and camera tremors before emerging.
- Sneaking reduces detection distance for several awakening triggers.
- Nearby dormant creatures can awaken in waves.
- Spawn eggs, commands, spawners and conversions retain their separate spawning behavior.
HIVE AND INFECTION
- Added Hive Infection with three escalating stages: hunger, weakness, then fever, nausea and periodic nonlethal damage.
- Infected bites can transmit or worsen infection.
- Players who die at stage II or higher leave behind an Infected Zombie bearing their name.
- Added the Antiviral Injector, which cures infection and provides brief regeneration.
- Milk also removes infection.
- Added living Hive Biomass that slows movement, heals infected creatures and wakes nearby dormant egg sacs when disturbed.
- Biomass spreads locally around egg clutches with a density limit.
- Fire, bright light and exposed daylight can destroy or dry out biomass.
- Dormant egg sacs react to nearby footsteps, disturbed biomass and neighboring sacs breaking.
- Added biological sample drops from destroyed egg sacs.
- Bio Samples can now be used as furnace fuel.
BIOBOTS AND MINER BOTS
- The Brood Heart can now be implanted into an owned Biobot.
- The symbiote grants +16 maximum health, +3 armor, immediate healing and gradual regeneration outside combat.
- Feral Biobots must be reprogrammed before accepting the implant.
- Symbiotic Biobots release biological samples when destroyed.
- Damaged Biobots now emit smoke and sparks below 30% health.
- Miner Bots can be overclocked with redstone for 60 seconds, doubling mining speed and improving nugget discovery.
- Repair kits restore 12 health to Miner Bots.
COMBAT IMPROVEMENTS
- Kamikaze explosions can ignite nearby Kamikazes, creating chain reactions.
- Water extinguishes active fuses; heavy rain can also cause misfires.
- Fire and lava ignite Kamikaze charges.
- Partially assembled charges produce weaker explosions.
- Infected Zombies can break doors on Hard difficulty.
- Mutants now display muzzle flashes and smoke and can rarely drop worn Field Rifles.
- Pulse projectiles deal 1.5x damage on headshots, with dedicated critical-hit feedback.
- Added sparks, fragments and sound feedback for projectile impacts.
- Biospider acid puddles now apply poison and slowness instead of repeatedly inflicting instant damage.
EXPLORATION AND PROGRESSION
- Supply Crates are now functional 27-slot containers with opening sounds, loot tables and comparator support.
- Added the Colonist's Log with outpost lore and the WARDEN crafting unlock.
- Expanded Field Terminal records with information about structures, infection, symbiotes and creature arrivals.
- Sneak + right-click activates the terminal scanner to report nearby infected creatures, their direction and distance.
- The scanner also identifies dormant threats and seismic activity from sleeping Biospiders.
- Added advancements for exploration, defense, treatment, symbiosis, headshots and interrupting creature awakenings.
- Updated natural-spawn biome tags to exclude mushroom islands and the Deep Dark.
ANIMATIONS AND VISUALS
- Added directional hit reactions, death falls, landing compression, movement leaning and subtle idle breathing to creatures using baked models.
- Improved animation spring behavior across different frame rates.
- Added creature-specific emergence and awakening effects.
- Added a dedicated acid projectile sprite and improved acid particles.
- Added textures, icons and visual feedback for sentries, biomass, dormant egg sacs, infection and injectors.
- Updated English and Russian translations, tooltips and subtitles.
MUSIC AND SOUND
- Added location-based music for hive territory and abandoned colony defenses.
- Added five collectible soundtrack discs with distinct artwork.
- Discs can be found in structure loot; Biobot Uprising can also drop from a Creeper killed by a Skeleton.
- Reworked creature, weapon and machinery sound effects.
- Added audio for sentry startup, shutdown, charging, target acquisition, overheating and low ammunition.
- Added sounds for infection, treatment, underground arrivals, biomass and Kamikaze misfires.
- Environmental music uses the vanilla music volume control and coordinates playback to avoid overlapping background tracks.
FIXES AND COMPATIBILITY
- Added an entrance tunnel to Hive Nests and corrected misplaced decorations.
- Fixed health restoration when loading symbiotic Biobots.
- Corrected overlapping sentry geometry that caused flickering and clipping.
- Added appropriate tool tags for sentries and biomass.
- Retained the zombotron mod ID for compatibility with 1.0.0 worlds, items and owned Biobots.
- Existing Supply Crates receive an empty inventory when upgraded.
- New structures generate in newly explored chunks.
- Minecraft 1.20.1 / Forge 47.2+ within the 47.x series / Java 17.
