Zombies With Flint & Steel

What happens when zombies stop trying to break into your base…

and decide to set you—and everything around you—on fire?

Zombies With Flint & Steel gives zombies the ability to use Flint & Steel to ignite their targets and their surroundings.

These zombies can set players and other living targets on fire, while also recognizing nearby TNT and igniting it when appropriate.

Fire-Wielding Undead

Zombies can spawn equipped with Flint & Steel, giving them a dangerous new way to attack.

They can:

• Spawn with Flint & Steel
• Ignite nearby players
• Set other living targets on fire
• Use their fire ability while pursuing targets
• Recognize nearby TNT
• Ignite TNT when appropriate
• Continue using their normal zombie behavior alongside their Flint & Steel ability

A zombie doesn't need to reach you with a sword to cause trouble anymore.

Sometimes, getting close is exactly what you don't want.

Target-Based Fire Attacks

Flint & Steel zombies don't simply use their item randomly.

Their behavior takes their current target into account when deciding when to ignite them.

This allows the zombie to use fire as part of its attack rather than constantly setting blocks on fire for no reason.

The result is a zombie that can turn an ordinary encounter into a very hot problem.

TNT Interaction

Flint & Steel zombies can also interact with nearby TNT.

When TNT is detected within the appropriate range, the zombie can ignite it and turn the surrounding area into a much bigger threat.

This becomes especially interesting when used alongside other FLAME zombie mods.

For example, when Zombies With TNT and Zombies With Flint & Steel are installed together, their abilities can naturally interact.

One zombie brings the TNT.

Another brings the fire.

You bring the panic.

Configurable Spawning

You decide how common Flint & Steel zombies should be.

The mod uses FLAME's Zombie Lib's centralized weighted equipment system, allowing you to control how frequently zombies spawn with Flint & Steel.

Want fire-wielding zombies to be a rare surprise?

Lower the weight.

Want your apocalypse to turn every base into a potential fire hazard?

Increase it.

FLAME's Zombie Lib

Zombies With Flint & Steel uses FLAME's Zombie Lib for its shared zombie equipment and weighted-selection systems.

This allows it to work alongside other FLAME zombie mods while keeping shared equipment and configuration systems consistent.

It also allows different zombie abilities to naturally interact when multiple FLAME mods are installed together.

Server-Friendly

The mod is designed with server-side gameplay in mind.

Players joining a compatible dedicated server do not need to install the mod themselves.

It can also be used normally in singleplayer as part of your modpack.
