Zombie Extreme Biome Config
A Forge 1.20.1 mod that fixes performance issues with Zombie Extreme by preventing the problematic Scorched Earth biome from generating.
Features
Biome Removal
- Stops Scorched Earth from spawning in new chunks
- Only affects new terrain - existing chunks won't change
- Can be toggled in config if you want the biome back
Radiation Control
- Disable biome radiation damage
- Disable block radiation damage
- Both can be configured separately
Configuration
Find the config at config/zombieextremefix-common.toml
All options default to true (enabled):
disableBiomeGeneration - Prevents Scorched Earth biome from spawning
disableBiomeRadiation - Disables radiation damage from biomes
disableBlockRadiation - Disables radiation from blocks
Changes require a restart.
Compatibility
- Minecraft: 1.20.1
- Forge: 47.0.0 or higher
- Works with: Other biome mods, world generation mods, performance mods
- Requires: Zombie Extreme
Important Notes
- Only prevents biome generation in new chunks
- Already explored areas will still have the biome
- For best results, add this mod before exploring much of your world
- Create a new world if you want to completely avoid the biome
How It Works
Uses mixins to intercept Zombie Extreme's biome registration and radiation systems. The mod is designed as a "soft dependency" - it won't crash if Zombie Extreme isn't installed, it just won't do anything.
