Zombie Apocalypse v0.10.1 — Survival Content, Structures & NPC Improvements
IMPORTANT — EXPERIMENTAL CONTENT
Structures, armor sets, and melee weapons are currently EXPERIMENTAL. They are still being developed and balanced, may contain bugs, and may be changed, redesigned, or expanded in future updates.
The Structure Selector is also experimental. Placing structures can replace existing terrain and blocks, so please back up your world before using it.
Version 0.10.1 is a major content and polish update. It expands survival equipment, food, crafting, world structures, infected behavior, and the human NPC systems introduced in v0.10.0.
Experimental Structures
- Added an initial catalog of 15 selectable structures, including survivor camps, military camps, abandoned emergency and public-service buildings, a supermarket, a pharmacy, and a large abandoned hospital.
- Added the experimental Structure Selector, with a selection screen, size information, placement confirmation, and warnings for large builds.
- Added infrastructure for structure-specific loot, infected populations, survivor occupation, and infestation pressure.
- Introduced limited natural generation for selected smaller structures. Large structures remain subject to experimental placement restrictions.
- Improved safeguards for placing large templates, although particularly large structures may still cause temporary lag.
Armor & Protective Equipment — Experimental
- Added 25 armor sets with different survival, industrial, rescue, security, and military themes.
- Examples include Survivor, Riot, Military, Hazmat, Heavy/Juggernaut, Firefighter, Paramedic, Hunter, Motorcyclist, Miner, and additional specialist equipment.
- Added more detailed 3D equipment models, textures, helmets, protective accessories, and a standalone Gas Mask.
- Expanded armor durability, protection, crafting materials, and repair requirements.
- Added standard and advanced Armor Repair Kits, along with new components such as ballistic fabric, steel plates, ceramic plates, composite plates, and hazmat lining.
- Armor appearances, values, and functionality may be adjusted in future versions. Specialist outfits do not automatically grant immunity to infection or hazardous gases.
Melee Weapons — Experimental
- Added a new selection of melee weapons and tools, including the Survival Knife, Field Machete, Kukri, Crowbar, Steel Pipe, Pipe Wrench, Baseball Bat, Sledgehammer, Firefighter Axe, and more.
- Introduced distinct melee weapon categories, with different combat roles, damage profiles, attack timing, durability, and repair materials.
- Expanded melee crafting and combat integration.
- These weapons are an early implementation and will receive further balancing and visual improvements.
Food, Resources & Crafting
- Added a much larger variety of survival food, including canned goods, snacks, packaged supplies, ingredients, and prepared meals.
- New food examples include Cooked Rice, Cooked Pasta, Oat Porridge, Survivor Sandwiches, canned beans, canned meat, cereal bars, jerky, and emergency rations.
- Expanded recipes and material progression, including steel, aluminum, reinforced fabrics, protective plates, and industrial components.
- Added Gunpowder Ore and Deepslate Gunpowder Ore with their own textures and world-generation definitions.
- Adjusted existing mineral generation data for zinc and bauxite.
- Improved item textures, models, inventory organization, and crafting information.
Human NPC Improvements
- Expanded NPC daily routines, camp behavior, fatigue, hunger, morale, and social memory.
- Improved role-based activities, scavenging, equipment selection, equipment sharing, and combat readiness.
- Added more developed medical and recovery behavior, allowing capable NPCs to respond to injured allies.
- Improved squad communication, cooperation, danger awareness, and friendly-fire safety.
- Expanded NPC equipment profiles, protective gear usage, and integration with TaCZ combat and reloading systems.
