Description
Villager-powered machines, time control and utilities for Minecraft 26.1 to 26.3 (NeoForge).
Early development. Zoken is a work in progress: expect rough edges, and please report anything that looks wrong.
Highlights
- Caged villagers do the work. Capture a villager in a Cage and put it inside a machine: it harvests portals and beehives, brews, farms, breeds, silences sounds, stores XP and trades.
- Control time. The Hourglass speeds up blocks, crops, creatures and machines from 2x to 256x, and the Altar charges its Time while it rests there.
- One catalog for every villager trade. The Market holds up to 9 caged villagers, lists all their trades with search and filters, shows the locked ones by level and posts timed requests.
- Gear with depth. Polish and restore your tools at the Lapidary, build Paxels, and hide item frames with varnish.
- A rotten world to burn, harvest and explore.
Requirements
- Minecraft 26.1, 26.1.1, 26.1.2, 26.2 or 26.3, with NeoForge (one file per Minecraft version: download the one that matches your game)
- NeoForge 26.1.0.19-beta or newer for 26.1, 26.1.1.15-beta or newer for 26.1.1, 26.1.2.126 or newer for 26.1.2, 26.2.0.93 or newer for 26.2, 26.3.0.101 or newer for 26.3
- Optional: JEI (recipes and help pages), Curios API (an accessory slot for the Hourglass) and Jade (shows a machine's status when you look at it)
What is inside
Time
- Chrono and Hourglass: speed up blocks, crops and creatures from 2x to 256x. The Hourglass stores Time while you carry it, and the Altar charges that Time while the Hourglass rests on it, even when you are away (the Altar's chunk must be loaded). The Melted Clocks are part of the same chain.
Villager machines
- Collector: a villager worker harvests beehives (shears and bottle) or a lit Nether/End portal frame (pickaxe, axe, shovel, sword). The villager's profession and level change speed, wear and bonuses, and it eats, wears armor and uses potions.
- Breeding Chamber, Automatic Brewery and Greenhouse: more machines run by a caged villager.
- Market: up to 9 caged villagers in one block. A single window lists every trade with search, buy/sell and quantity filters, profession and category filters, an "emeralds only" filter and sorting. Trades above the villager's level are shown locked (their items are already rolled), stock refills like in the game, you can recycle the trades of a villager that has not traded yet for some of your XP levels, and timed requests pay extra emeralds or an enchanted book. Speed it up with the Hourglass, and an emerald floats over the block when a request is waiting (you can turn it off).
- Florist: a new villager profession. Any Torchflower (planted or potted) is its workstation. It trades flowers, emeralds and dyes (48 to 64 dyes for one emerald).
- Muffler: silence the sounds you choose inside a cube or box around it, with up to 9 rules per block, a searchable list of every game sound and a live "heard now" list, plus a world overlay that shows the area.
- XP Pedestal: store and take back experience in exact points, and collect the XP orbs on the ground around it.
The Muffler and the XP Pedestal only work with a jobless villager or a zombie in a Cage; the Muffler's villager also needs food.
Redstone and logistics
- Sorting Plate: step on it and it sorts your inventory into the chests you linked with the Wrench.
- Magnet/Emitter, Advanced Observer, Wireless Redstone, Potion Shelf and a Circuit Board with logic circuits.
- Cage to capture creatures, Wrench to link and inspect, and a Special Bag.
Gear and crafting
- Lapidary (a workbench with a mini-game): polish weapons, tools and shears of every material, or restore the durability of a worn item. Polished gear deals more damage or breaks faster, or gains Silk Touch, and shows an animated aura. Restoring costs a little maximum durability each time (2% on netherite up to 10% on wood and gold).
- Combination Bench: makes the Chrono, the Paxel (pickaxe, axe and shovel in one tool, seven materials) and the Fleeting Torchflower (a Torchflower that wilts after 32 seconds).
- Frame varnishes: a Clear Varnish makes an item frame invisible and a Glow Varnish makes its item shine, with 64 uses per brush. Breaking the frame gives back the frame and its item.
- Netherite-Bedrock ingot and Bedrock-Emerald ingot chains.
- New enchantments: Unusing and Equivalence.
World
- A rotten world: rotten wheat, pumpkins and melons, plus the Strange Tree with fog and ground corruption. Rotten wheat burns with real fire; splash it with a Fire Resistance potion and cut it with shears to harvest Burnt Wheat.
- Persimmon tree and Colorful Compound plants.
- Seeker Compass: type a block or tag id and the needle points to the nearest one.
- Assar Sino, Nether and End portal miniatures, the Happiness potion effect and more.
Configuration
Balance values (speeds, limits, radius, food time, Market refill, requests, recycling cost and more) are in the config file zkn-common.toml.
Notes
- All textures and models are original.
- Zoken has no dependency besides NeoForge; JEI, Curios and Jade are optional.
