ZiNG’s Creatures adds dozens of elemental creature classes, items, blocks, tools, and biomes—organized into eras that expand the world over time. Each era introduces its own themes, enemies, and materials, encouraging exploration and long-term progression.
The Eras
The Origin Era ♦️

The beginning of the world—diverse, experimental, and elemental.
Creature classes include:
Aquatic – Water-based creatures inspired by oceans, rivers, and the water element
Fruit – Flavor-themed creatures based on fruits, juices, and natural sweetness
Garden – Earth-aligned creatures tied to plants, soil, and nature
Gemstone – Mineral creatures formed from crystals, ores, and stone
Haunted – Spooky creatures inspired by Halloween, ghosts, and the undead
Light – Solar and lunar creatures influenced by the sun, moon, and light energy
Music – Rhythm-based creatures inspired by instruments and music discs
Salty – Coastal creatures found near beaches, islands, and oceans
Space – Cosmic creatures inspired by planets, stars, and the galaxy
Spicy – Fire-aligned creatures influenced by heat, flames, and the Nether
Techno – Artificial creatures based on future technology, machines, and AI
Thunder – Storm creatures that harness lightning and thunderstorms
Tundra – Cold-adapted creatures found in icy and snowy environments
Wind – Air-aligned creatures that use movement, speed, and wind forces
These creatures populate new and existing biomes and introduce early-game materials, tools, and encounters.

Cavern – Underground creatures shaped by caves and the deep earth
Classic – Creatures inspired by early Minecraft and classic mob designs
Color – Dye-themed creatures based on colors and visual variation
Dual – Hybrid creatures combining two different classes (inspired by dual-typing)
Echo – Sculk-infused creatures tied to the Deep Dark and sound
Ender – Creatures influenced by The End and void energy
Festive – Seasonal creatures inspired by winter and holiday themes
Fungi – Mushroom-based creatures connected to spores and fungal growth
Geometric – Creatures formed from shapes, voxels, and abstract geometry
Magic – Fantasy creatures empowered by spells, potions, and arcane energy
Magnet – Creatures that manipulate force, gravity, and attraction
Myth – Creatures inspired by real-world mythology and legends
Sweet – Dessert-themed creatures based on candy and sugary treats
Toxic – Acidic creatures that use poison, corrosion, and harmful effects

ZiNG's Creatures: Rewritten
A full remake of the original ZiNG’s Creatures (2025) is now in development.
Why the remake?
The original mod has been officially discontinued due to:
- Storage limitations causing major version rollbacks (1.11.8.1 → 1.15.8)
- Performance issues from too many mod elements
- Ongoing development challenges with ZiNGLib
What’s different this time?
This rewrite focuses on stability, creativity, and long-term development. No more rushing—just building it right.
Planned features include:
- Pottery sherds & trim materials
- Custom weapons & upgrades
- Dimension sky systems (clouds, celestial bodies, etc.)
- Enhanced mob animations & new entities
- Expanded commands, game rules, maps, and boss bars
