  • Ajustable (parry.*): enabled, window_ticks (6), cooldown_ticks (40), knockback, stun_ticks, counter_ticks, counter_mult.

⚠️ Problemas conocidos

  • Ninguno nuevo; siguen los de la 0.3.1.

English

🌀 Mystic → Beast path

  • Ultimate Mystic no longer exists. The path is now Mystic (the Potential Unlock form) → Beast, its evolution. If you were wearing Ultimate Mystic, that form is gone.
  • Beast unlocks through rage. You need Mystic mastered to at least 50% and you must also witness the death of one of your pets or a party member nearby. At that moment a red message appears on screen (like the Super Saiyan 4 one) and Beast shows up in the wheel's "Potential Unlock" folder. If you are below 50% the rage is not spent: the next nearby death counts. Once unlocked, it is kept.
    • For the party, the real death counts, not the downed state.
    • Tunable in the server config: beast.unlock_mystic_mastery_percent (50) and beast.fury_radius (32 blocks).
  • Mystic's stat cap (skills.potential_unlock_max_stat_percent) stays at +1600%, below untrained Beast.

🔴 Beast overdrive: red outline instead of an animation

  • The idle animation of Beast with power above 100% was removed. Instead, while you push past 100%, a red outline surrounds your body, also at rest, and fades out when it ends.
  • It is a uniform silhouette outline, like a sticker border: it surrounds the body at a constant distance, follows the character's real pose (head, torso, arms and legs, animations included) and is not a sphere around it. It is smooth and steady, so it does not flicker while flying. It is not drawn in first person and stacks with Beast's normal aura while charging ki.
  • To get there, the outline of body-hugging auras (Ultra Instinct and similar) is now computed with boxes the size of each real body part instead of round capsules, so they also sit closer to the character.

⚔️ Dash and Quick Step

  • Double-tap W, A, S or D in combat mode = dash in that direction (forward, back or sideways, relative to where your body faces). No stamina cost, also in the air but not while flying, with a short cooldown. It gives a small hop when dodging from the ground and has one animation per direction. The server validates everything: it does not work if you are downed, blocking or doing another action.
  • New skill: Quick Step (bought from Korin, 3 levels). With it, the same double-tap becomes a Quick Step: it costs ki, covers about 8 blocks, makes you invulnerable for a few moments and your body disappears while you move, leaving afterimages tinted with your aura color and a trail of ki sparks. Its animation is more abrupt than the dash. Each level lowers the ki cost and the cooldown. Without enough ki it does the normal dash; on cooldown it does nothing (a dash and a Quick Step never come out together).
  • Tunable in the server config: dash.cooldown_ticks (15), dash.speed (1.1) and step.* (cooldown_ticks, speed, energy_cost_pct, invisible_ticks, iframe_ticks).

🌟 Living Spirit Bomb

  • While you charge the Spirit Bomb, nearby non-hostile creatures (villagers, animals, golems, aquatic life) lend it energy: particles travel to the ball and the damage rises up to +50%, with diminishing returns by how many there are. Players do not count. If your alignment is evil, the energy comes instead from hostile mobs, with the same trail but red.
  • With a party: when you start charging it, your party members get a chat call asking for their energy ("EVERYONE PLEASE LEND ME YOUR ENERGY!", noting that it is sent by charging ki with C). Each member who is charging ki, at any distance in the same dimension, adds energy to your Spirit Bomb, and a trail of particles flies toward you.
  • The Spirit Bomb is now blue with a white interior. If your alignment is evil it switches to a dark scheme: intense magenta outside, near-black purple inside and crimson lightning around it, both while charging and when thrown. The icon and the charge bar change color too.
  • On release there is a short wind-up before it leaves your hands.
  • Tunable in the server config: spirit_bomb.gather_radius (32), gain_per_pulse (0.03), bonus_cap (0.5), windup_ticks (8), party_gain_per_pulse (0.06) and party_radius (0 = unlimited).

💥 Beam clash

  • When two ki techniques from different owners cross (players or mobs; party members pass through each other), the beams stop at the midpoint and a 5-second minigame starts: a 0-1000 bar with a cursor that sweeps up and down at one of three speeds (slow, medium or fast, rolled when the clash starts and the same for both). You press once (left or right click) to stop it; the highest value wins.
  • During the clash both participants are frozen and cannot charge another technique, use a physical move, transform, dash, fly or teleport.
  • Its own pixel-art interface: at the top, the two participants' cards (your face with "YOU"; the rival's face if it is a player or a humanoid NPC such as the Shadow, and its name trimmed to fit) with a green check when someone has stopped their bar, without revealing where. On contact an energy core appears between the cards together with "BEAM CLASH!". The bar has patterned zones (red, orange, green and dark green from 950 to 1000) that can be told apart without relying on color, a needle with a trail that shows the speed, a badge with the speed (1-3 arrows) and the time left (taken from the server config; red during the last second). When you press, the needle flashes, turns gold and gives a "clack". The result shows up in a banner (YOU WIN! / YOU LOSE! / TIE!) with both scores and a tug-of-war bar; the core flies toward the loser or bursts on a tie. The bar can be horizontal (default) or vertical (client option clash.bar_orientation), and this interface is always drawn at GUI scale x2 so it does not overlap the health bars on a large or Auto GUI scale.
  • Clash orb in the world, visible to anyone watching the fight: two halves, each in its beam's color, pushing against each other with a white flash at the seam and electric arcs in both colors. It grows on contact, shakes in place during the minigame without leaning toward anyone, and on resolution the winning half pushes the orb toward the loser (or it compresses and bursts on a tie). While the clash lasts, both beam heads give way to the orb.
  • On a clash, the player holds the final pose of their throw (arms extended) until the clash ends.
  • Team clashes, up to 3 vs 3: aim at someone in a clash and a hand appears with "Right-click to help". Joining costs the ki of your selected technique, adds its damage to your team and gives you your own bar (by default presses already made are kept and the deadline is extended for you; the server can make the minigame restart for everyone with clash.join_resets_minigame). The team with the most total points wins; the smaller team multiplies its values (x1.6 by default in a 2 vs 1, clash.outnumbered_bonus). The HUD shows every fighter, their check, their contribution and the totals. A hand above the head marks who you can help, and when you join you line up next to your team's leader in your technique's attack pose while your beam flows from your hands into the orb, whose half for your team grows with each member.
  • The loser does not take the hit all at once: the winning beam absorbs the loser's and fires back at them with both damages added, slightly slower and homing while the loser is nearby. There is time to dodge it (for example with Instant Transmission), block it or parry it. A tie detonates both beams at 50%.
  • Mobs take part too: they "press" at a random moment. Player ping is compensated (capped) without letting them choose their score.
  • Tunable in the server config (clash.*): enabled, duration_ticks (100), bar periods and stages, no_press_multiplier, stat_bonus_cap, tie_margin, damage_sum_fraction, return_speed_multiplier (0.9), return_homing_strength (0.08) and return_homing_range (24), ping_grace_ticks, mob_skill.

🛡️ Parry

  • Everyone can parry: a short window (0.3 s) opens, and a hit landing inside it is fully negated (no damage animation). The attacker is knocked back and, if it is an NPC, cannot attack for a moment; you get a counter-attack (your next hit deals ×1.5). Against a ki projectile it does not just negate it: it sends it back to its owner.
  • It is triggered with a dedicated key (Controls → "Parry"; G, or B if Curios is installed) and, if you prefer, also by pressing the guard (client option parry.trigger: Key / Block / Both; default: key only). With the block option, the real guard starts just as the window ends: tap = parry, hold = block.
  • The swat animation plays whenever you open the window, hit or miss, and a layered success sound plays when it works. If it misses, a crossed-out hand with the cooldown countdown (2 s) shows next to your badges.
  • New skill: Parry Mastery (4 levels, taught by Kami, Korin, Kaio and Toribot): wider window and a stronger counter-attack; higher levels also return ki and heal your body on every successful parry.
  • Tunable (parry.*): enabled, window_ticks (6), cooldown_ticks (40), knockback, stun_ticks, counter_ticks, counter_mult.

🌀 Kiai: crowd control

  • The kiai now works in a full circle and pushes everyone around you outward. Enemy ki projectiles are deflected sideways and upward instead of going back to their owner (returning projectiles is the parry's job). It breaks the guard of anyone blocking (they cannot block again for 2 s) and its hit is no longer reduced by that guard. Each extra target adds stamina to the cost. Tunable (kiai.*): omnidirectional, extra_target_stamina_fraction, extra_target_cap, guard_break_ticks.

🔰 Blocking, weapons and shields

  • "Block" is a Controls key (right click by default): bind it to another key or leave it unbound. In combat mode, if it shares the button with "Use Item" and your hands are valid, the click no longer opens chests or doors while you defend (turn combat mode off with X to interact). With food, blocks or a bow in hand, vanilla takes over.
  • Block and parry with a weapon (sword, axe or ki weapon in the main hand): allowed, with 60% of the bare-handed reduction.
  • Shield in the off hand: counts as a free hand, cuts 35% more damage (cap 85%), does not slow you down and wears out with every blocked hit. With Ki Infuse, the shield is infused with ki: more reduction (+4% to +17% by level) in exchange for a little ki per hit.
  • Tunable (block.*): weapon_factor, shield_bonus, shield_cap, shield_slow, shield_durability_per_hit, shield_ki_cost_pct.

⌨️ Combat mode keys

  • The 9 combat-mode technique slots are now rebindable keys in Controls ("Combat Slot 1-9"), 1-9 by default, without clashing with the hotbar. The bar shows the assigned key, with icons for arrows, Shift (L/R + arrow), Ctrl/Alt, mouse buttons and so on.
  • Curios is now optional: without it, weights and the scouter are worn in the armor slots (chest and head); with it, they keep their own slot.

🏆 New achievements

  • 15 achievements about the new combat features, with the description acting as a mini tutorial for each gesture: Quick Feet (dash) → Now You See Me (Quick Step); Futile (parry) → Not So Fast (send a ki projectile back) and Perfect Timing (Parry Mastery); Break The Guard (kiai); Raise Your Shield → Charged Shield (shield infused with Ki Infuse); Beams Collide → Overpowered → Dead Center (bar at 950 or more).
  • Training minigames: Your Own Worst Enemy (fight your Shadow), Perfect Rhythm (Meditation) and Bullseye (Target Practice), plus Well Trained for finishing all three. The descriptions say where to open them (Training tab of the V menu).
  • The Combat Ready achievement now mentions the Block key instead of "right-click".

💬 Descriptions and tooltips

  • Skills (Ki Block, Ki Infuse, Parry Mastery) and the Spirit Bomb have up-to-date descriptions covering weapons, shields, parry and the living energy. Kiai and the other physical techniques now have a description.
  • Skills: holding the mouse still over a skill's truncated description shows a tooltip with the full text (only over that line, after a short pause; it no longer covers the buttons).
  • Techniques: each row's tooltip now includes what the technique is, besides its numbers.

🎯 Ki technique range

  • New server option ki.projectile_life_ticks (200 = 10 s, it used to be a fixed 100): how long a technique flies before it vanishes. Range is speed x lifetime; raise the lifetime if the slow ones vanish before arriving.

🔵 Aura while charging ki techniques

  • Charging a ki technique no longer turns on the aura: it only shows once you go past 100% charge (overcharge). Charging ki with C still turns it on all the time.

👁️ Aura in first person

  • The first-person aura % option now works with the new aura: the shell, wisps, lightning, spikes and motes show scaled by that percentage (before, almost nothing responded to the option).
  • The silhouette outline (Ultra Instinct and every form that uses it) is never drawn in first person, whatever the option says.

🛠️ Fixes

  • Quick Step: your own afterimages are no longer drawn in first person (they blocked the view); they only show in third person and on other players.
  • Angels: their arms now close toward the center and the hands hold the trumpet in front of the face (they used to spread out, leaving the trumpet floating apart). The halo is now a real helmet in their head slot, drawn with GeckoLib's armor layer.
  • Dash to the right: the animation was regenerated as a mirror of the dash to the left.
  • The angels' halo now follows their head: it used to stay fixed while the angel tilted its head, so it looked crooked.
  • Combat mode now also turns off on your screen when you die: it used to reset on the server while the technique bar stayed drawn.
  • Server config: every comment in the .toml is now in English and the porunga_wishes option was removed, since it did nothing (Porunga does not exist yet). To see the new comments, delete the file and let it regenerate.
  • Ultra Instinct while flying: the aura's flowing outline oscillated a lot while flying, because its flow texture depended on the world height. It now depends on the height above your feet and does not change with movement.

🧱 HFIL building blocks

  • Scorched Stone and Pale Stone: new polished and bricks versions. Cinder Sandstone: new smooth and cut versions, like vanilla sandstone. Each one with stairs, slab and wall (24 new blocks).
  • Recipes: stone → polished → bricks (2x2 gives 4 at each step), and the stonecutter skips steps. Smooth cinder sandstone is made in the furnace, and cut with 2x2 sandstone or the stonecutter.
  • Names without "HFIL": Pale Stone (and its variants), Geyser, Boiling Water and its bucket.
  • Tidier creative menu: each HFIL stone is followed by its variants and its ores, then the landscape blocks (blood ice, sulfur, mud, geyser) and finally the Janemba Rift with its families.

🎨 Look

  • Piccolo's weighted cape, redone from scratch. Big shoulder pads that slope outward, a high U-shaped collar around the neck, and a three-part cape that wraps a little toward the front and flares backward so your legs do not go through it when you walk. The new texture has twice the pixels: folds gathered at the shoulders that fan out as they fall, stitching on the pads and collar, and a darker inside.
  • Saiyan tail (loose): new model and texture, and a smoother idle sway. The whole tail now moves as one wave from the base to the tip, with no pauses and no gaps opening between segments.
  • Arcosian first form: retouched texture, with its color layers updated to match.
  • Namekian: new model and texture (redone antennae, no ears) and its color layers regenerated to match.
  • Cinder sandstone (HFIL): it now has different top, bottom and side faces, like vanilla sandstone (the side's edge used to show on top as well). It also shares the cinder sand's tone instead of a flat dark gray. Its ores now have three faces as well, with the ore on all three.
