Fabric API is required.
Yttr's current release here on Curse, 0.4, is incomplete and buggy. Please use 0.5 dev builds instead: https://git.sleeping.town/unascribed/Yttr/releases
Yttr is a Fabric mod for Minecraft 1.16.5. It also works on 1.16.4 and probably 1.16.3.
Yttr has no specific focus; it's a collection of things I wanted or thought would be useful. That may sound familiar if you've seen Fabrication, but unlike Fabrication, Yttr is a "normal" content mod needed on both the client and server. It includes:
- A rifle with multiple modes, including beams, explosions, teleportation, and more!
- Chutes to quickly transfer items up and down!
- An abomination of science to craft for you!
- Delicaceness of Deep-Sea Squeeze Trees!
- the all-consuming, endless void from which there is no escape
- Big Iron!
- Pretty Lamps!
- (new in 0.4.0) Cool fast travel!
- (new in 0.4.0) A sorting skeleton!
- (completed in 0.4.3) Arbitrary block cutting!
- And more!
will this be updated to 1.17/1.18?
In reply to whopperpower23:
Maybe someday. Yttr has a lot of advanced rendering tricks in it that are a pain to update past 1.16 due to 1.17's move to the OpenGL Core Profile and shaders. My current focus with Yttr is getting it into a semi-complete state for a 1.16 modpack.
Can you add rails that when receiving a redstone signal change direction and also a redstone that works at a wireless distance?
I really like how this mod looks like, idea is original (at least I couldn't find anything like this) and items are well made, my only problem is that it's a tech based mod (in most parts) so I was wondering if you planning to ever make a magic mod ? I would love magic based mod with some features from this mod so I hope you consider making one in the future. :)
In reply to Ablark:
If you subscribe to the tech/magic false dichotomy then Yttr does not exist in your version of reality.

I'm not saying magic and technology can't work together, because magic is technically a science we don't understand, I mean I don't like the look of tech mods, because most tech mods look really futuristic and I prefer a more classic medieval style, for example Create, Tinkers Construct or Pyrotech are tech mods with medieval style to them which I love and I think more mods should take notes from them.
In reply to Ablark:
Yttr is a love letter to 1.4/1.5-era modded in many ways, which is dominated by tech and silvery boxes.
It's a personal mod with a userbase size you can count on your fingers. It's tailored to my tastes and interests and mine alone. If it happens to align with yours, cool. I'm not changing the aesthetic and design of the mod to suit a passerby.
Also, magic aesthetic is a huge amount of work, and Yttr is a project I poke at in downtime to relax.
I'll note the upcoming 0.5.0 update has a more magic-y Continuity content branch, but it's still "in-line" with Yttr's existing content and aesthetic. The clinical and industrial-ness of Void and Abomination content is also pretty intentional, as it's sort of going for the same thing as SCP — bureaucratic, industrialized approaches to horrors.
It's also kind of playing off the complete nonchalance Minecraft players treat things like creating hallways of closed off villagers, or automatic chicken torture apparatuses, basically any kind of animal/monster farm, etc... What's a hacked-up, enchanted enderman/zombie frankenstein that makes horrible tortured noises? Hey, it crafts things, sweet. No further consideration.
lol, thats my minecraft name
it would be cool to have a whitelist for the items you can put in the replicators
to make them endgame items for modpacks
ho, this mod is criminally underrated
so many good ideas, i just love it
All I can say is, this is amazing! A ton of cool and innovative things, probably won't be able to use a lot of it for awhile, but I love the Void Diving and the Void Geyser!
The Chutes, Deep-Sea Squeeze Trees and the Arbitrary block cutting are definitely gonna be my most interesting things to try!
That's nice and silly mod, I like it, but could you show how armour look on player and I would love to see "laser mode" for gun and maybe something like jetpack or new mobs that would have to do something with this mod. :)
In reply to driplock:
The armor model is a placeholder, but it looks like this:
"Laser mode"? Isn't that just the existing Beam mode?
I have a balanced-to-me form of flight in the pipeline that I'm adding a new material and processing chain for to create an entire series of related tech; Yttr will not contain plain jetpacks. If I had a good idea for a mob I'd add it.

Thanks for reply, it's ok if you won't add jetpack, maybe for mob you could add something like void crawler that would come out from void hole or if you want to fast travel it computer would tell you that there is one on your way to make fast travel a little bit dangerous and when I said laser mode I mean something like you hold and it shoot beam where you are pointing.

Maybe you could make armour look similar to this.
bor a fix to your big iron need there is https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/recipe-improver. Mind you a lot of forge esque features are usually in separate jars in fabric
In reply to Nathan22211:
I'm not really looking for a "fix" to Big Iron at this point, and tend to avoid dependencies when possible.
Is there a discord or smth where I can share suggestions? I have a few
In reply to JothGC:
There's one and a bridged Matrix room linked on the wiki.
For some reason the void effector doesnt seem to work for me
