What is Yosia’s MineZ?
Yosia’s MineZ is a hardcore survival mod created for Minecraft modpacks focused on:
- zombie apocalypse;
- post-apocalyptic worlds;
- abandoned cities and military zones;
- limited resources;
- cooperative survival;
- PvE and PvP survival scenarios.
The mod is inspired by the atmosphere of DayZ, the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series, and other projects with similar survival-focused settings.
Yosia’s MineZ does not try to copy any specific game. Instead, it brings its own survival, medicine, equipment, inventory, and player interaction systems into Minecraft.
What does the mod add?
Yosia’s MineZ expands survival far beyond the standard health and hunger bars.
Players must manage:
- blood;
- hydration;
- energy;
- body temperature;
- stamina;
- bleeding;
- fractures;
- infections;
- diseases;
- stomach overload.
A small injury can quickly become dangerous. Bleeding causes blood loss, dirty treatment can lead to sepsis, untreated fractures affect movement, and contaminated water may cause cholera.
Survival is no longer about carrying one stack of food and several healing items. Every problem requires the correct solution.
Advanced medical system
The mod adds a large collection of medical items, including:
- sterile and unsterile bandages;
- clean, dirty, and sterile rags;
- hemostatic dressings;
- saline bags;
- iodine;
- hydrogen peroxide;
- tetracycline;
- activated charcoal;
- multivitamins;
- splints;
- morphine;
- adrenaline;
- AI-2 medical kits.
Every item has its own purpose.
Dirty materials may stop bleeding but cause infection. Antiseptics are used against early sepsis, tetracycline treats serious diseases over time, splints heal fractures, and saline helps restore blood.
Medicine is not just a collection of instant healing items. It is a complete system where timing, item choice, and resource management matter.
Cooperative treatment
One of the main features of Yosia’s MineZ is the ability to treat other players.
You can:
- bandage teammates;
- stop their bleeding;
- disinfect wounds;
- apply splints;
- administer saline;
- use morphine and adrenaline;
- give medication;
- use an AI-2 medical kit on another player.
Treating an injured teammate can be much more effective than trying to survive alone.
This makes the mod especially suitable for cooperative servers and team-based modpacks.
Custom inventory system
Yosia’s MineZ features its own inventory interface inspired by DayZ.
Inventory space is limited, and equipment directly affects how much you can carry.
Different types of clothing provide different storage capacities:
- jackets;
- plate carriers;
- pants;
- backpacks.
This means equipment is not only cosmetic or protective. It is also an important part of inventory management.
Players must decide what to carry, what to leave behind, and which equipment is best for the next journey.
Clothing and protection
The mod adds military clothing and protective equipment, including:
- Dubok military uniform;
- military boots;
- black and olive plate carriers;
- combat helmets;
- military berets;
- PMK-40 gas mask;
- civilian, hiking, leather, and military backpacks.
Protection is divided between different body zones.
Different equipment pieces protect different areas and may reduce:
- melee damage;
- bleeding chance;
- fracture chance;
- explosion damage.
This creates a more detailed protection system similar to body-part-based medical mods.
Crafting and repair
Yosia’s MineZ includes many useful and intuitive crafting recipes.
Equipment also wears down and must be repaired with the correct tools and materials.
Examples include:
- sewing kits for clothing and backpacks;
- sharpening stones for melee weapons;
- leatherworking kits for leather equipment;
- kevlar fabric and armor plates for plate carriers;
- fabric sheets for military clothing;
- leather for boots and leather gear.
Repair tools have limited uses, so maintaining equipment becomes part of the survival economy.
Melee weapons
The mod adds a selection of melee weapons and tools:
- crowbar;
- pipe wrench;
- screwdriver;
- machete;
- combat knife;
- kitchen knife;
- improvised knife;
- baseball bat;
- fire axe;
- hammer.
Weapons differ in:
- damage;
- durability;
- attack speed;
- repair method.
Light weapons attack faster, while heavy tools and axes require more time between swings.
Food, water, and diseases
The mod adds different types of food, drinks, canned supplies, bottles, and canteens.
Some food must be opened before it can be eaten.
Water collected from rivers and lakes may be contaminated and should be purified with chlorine tablets.
Drinking unsafe water can cause cholera, while eating or drinking too much can lead to stomach overload and vomiting.
Activated charcoal can shorten the stomach overload timer, and multivitamins may provide temporary resistance to disease.
Body temperature and stamina
The environment affects the player’s body temperature.
Depending on the conditions, temperature may rise or fall and cause different negative effects.
The mod also adds a stamina system.
Sprinting is limited, and once stamina is depleted, the player must wait for it to recover.
Injuries and poor physical condition can affect:
- stamina consumption;
- stamina regeneration;
- movement;
- overall survivability.
Sound and visual effects
The player reacts to pain and discomfort with sound effects.
Heavy blood loss, sepsis, and other dangerous conditions may also trigger visual effects.
These systems help communicate the player’s condition without relying only on text or status icons.
Designed for thematic modpacks
Yosia’s MineZ is not intended as a simple addition to ordinary vanilla survival.
It works best in modpacks and servers featuring:
- zombies;
- firearms;
- abandoned cities;
- military locations;
- mutants;
- limited loot;
- contaminated zones;
- cooperative survival.
The mod pairs especially well with firearm mods such as:
- Vic’s Point Blank;
- Timeless and Classics Guns.
It can serve as the survival and medical foundation for an entire zombie-apocalypse modpack.
What makes Yosia’s MineZ different?
A complete survival framework
The mod combines medicine, diseases, stamina, temperature, blood, food, water, equipment, and inventory management into one connected system.
Strong cooperative focus
Players can treat teammates directly, making teamwork an important part of survival.
Equipment with real purpose
Clothing, armor, and backpacks provide protection, storage, and different gameplay advantages.
Detailed medicine
Different injuries and diseases require different treatments instead of one universal healing item.
Built for post-apocalyptic modpacks
The mod is designed specifically for zombie-apocalypse and survival projects rather than standard vanilla progression.
Final note
Yosia’s MineZ is a mod about preparation, scarcity, and survival.
Gather supplies. Protect your equipment. Watch your condition. Help your teammates.
In MineZ, even a small wound can become fatal — and a sterile bandage may be worth more than any treasure.
