What's new

0.2.1

a alpha version,no release The finishing touches for the Moon Phase Boss: it can now die, and the health bar is no longer the vanilla one.

The Moon Phase Can Die After the health bar reaches 0, the fight truly ends: all summoned monsters are cleared, the health bar is removed from the screen, and the moon stops rendering. In 0.2.0, setting the health bar to zero only made the number reach 0; both the moon and the health bar were still there.

The moon itself remains in place and invisible; this is intentional. The arena decides whether to generate based on "checking whether there is a moon entity in the arena when the chunk loads." If the entity were simply deleted, the next chunk reload would start the whole fight again. To fight it again:

text /kill @e[type=ymondf:moon] Then leave and approach the arena again.

A new hook, MoonDefeatedEvent, has been added for future defeat settlement use (like MoonPhaseChangeEvent from 0.2.0, it is hooked onto the NeoForge event bus).

Health Bar Redraw The original health bar merely overlaid a few vertical lines on the vanilla style, which was too plain. Now the entire bar is custom-drawn:

Texture textures/gui/moon_boss_bar.png (256×64), generated by tools/make_boss_bar.py The bar has three tick marks at 25% / 50% / 75%, marking the boundaries of the four phases There is a star ornament at each end On the right is a genuinely drawn moon phase icon (new moon / first quarter / full moon / last quarter, switching with the phase) The progress fill color changes with the phase: new moon deep blue, first quarter purple, full moon gray-white, last quarter dark red The phase name is displayed on the left, and the percentage on the right The vanilla health bar is no longer drawn; the entire bar is taken over and continued by this mod.
